You should have bought a poodle! IWS have beautiful coats that need no trimming.

that is impossible, the dog cannot see anything at all. here in Switzerland this is against animal welfare and is not permitted. Dogs must be able to see ...

You’re really underestimating how much the coat, including the head, will curl up and shrink back. This cut is done with a fluff dry; pooping out and stretching out the hair to get the shaping perfect. Irish water spaniels have such a tight curl pattern that the true finish, once the curl from natural air humidity has returned is at least 25% shorter than this fluff-dryed look. And to be honest, even pre-curl I can see both gorgeous golden coloured eyes clearly. Which means the dog can see just fine. 😊
