What every video did not mention is how the RCA cable is correctly connected . The end with the yellow tags goes into the phono preamp . Hope this helps

The recommended downforce for the Ortofon 2M RED cartridge is 17.5mN. Anti-skating weight is 2nd groove The recommended downforce for the Sumiko Rainier cartridge is 20mN. Anti-skating weight should be 3rd groove I have the Sumiko cartridge (like in the video) and my turntable properly when using Pro-jects recommendations stated above.

Thanks for very detail video on setup. Sir I have problem with this turntable I am getting higher rpm speed around 33.45 which affect the output signal . Is there any way to correct rpm speed around 33.00 to 33.38 so that I can enjoy the music as before. Is there any way to adjust the rpm speed to 33.33 with motor itself. Does motor have preset to adjust the speed. Pl help me

i just want to say thank you !!! i had set it up right but no other video that i saw mentioned anything about the different speeds on the switch and i was going crazy for 20 minutes trying to figure it why chris stapleton was coming out high pitched haha

i did everything right, got just the same turntable, but when my vinil is on, it starts to play the disc slower after a while. What could it be? can someone help

Can I use a normal rca cable to connect the turntable directly to my active speakers ? The one supplied is short and I need a 5m one. But I dont have the grounding part. Is it neccessary ?

Is that little weight accurate for the anti skate? Because I see how delicate people are with adjusting the proper adjustment for this part of the installation on other turntables, but for this one you just hook that little thing and you’re good to go..?

My anti-skate weight is on the floor behind my components so I don't know how accurate it is although it seems to be ok without it.

I picked up a brand new carbon evo and have it hook up to a parasound preamp, then to a HCA 2205A parasound power amp. Running acoustic research master series silver cables with gold plated banana plugs into JBL towers. The sound range well is lacking and im wonder if you may have suggestions for a better sound. If i could attempt to explain the issue is the lack of mid range clarity and depth, plus the bass doesn't punch. I understand its near impossible to gauge without hearing it yourself, but generally the sound seems flat across the spectrum. I have two harman kardon receivers which i didnt route through [ AVR 25 II and a AVR 320 ] i did originally attempt to run the each one individually but for some reason i couldnt get any response from them and elected to go with the turntable to preamp to power amp to speaker route.

I got mine today and had to send it back same day without even playing one record on it. No idea if factory defect or i got review unit or quality control at pro-ject sucks, but counterweight was in 2 peaces with one plastic tab broken on smaller wheel was broken, motor did emit strange noise and rotating speed was not constant and left channel output was not working at all. Called store, they took it back right away and next week i will get replacement. If replacement will also have some issues i will ask for full refund, use my old thorens for few more months and save for clearaudio concept wood. also no big deal and i know hifi snobs like it but sntiskeat on fishing rod does feel and look cheap and gheto. All in all even it looks nice this is not 600€ turntable at all. Big disappointment from my side.
