I was hoping this was a quarter mile event and probably been track records the way those door slammers from the south continent of the country would be an awesome event for the fans to enjoy. @@beefcakejones1963 sure, whoever choose to run to whatever distance. NHRA for example, except for the nitro classes, runs 1/4 mile. Maybe the 1/4 mile sucks tough to people who run half a mile?

Most all of the acceleration of the vehicle is done in the first 1/8 mile . Speed doesn't double !

I will bet you 100 to a dollar a 1/8 mile racer will cut the Xmas tree down on a racer who runs a 1/4 because a 1/8 mile racer don't have a extra 660 ft to overcome a bad start
