ok, complain about running fuel cars 1000' ... when you start reading et slips and analyzing run data, you will see not much happens after the 1/8th mile except for the motor eating itself.. Never mind 0 to 100 mph in under a second , 200 in 2 and 300 in under 4... yea, no fun at all and not really racing...

also the speeds obtained now in the short distance is insane--the long distance is no way to find out the limitations of the tire at that mph....when promods now hit speeds in the 1/8 that they hit in the quarter 20 years ago you know they are flying...most of em anyway ;)

steve will even then, as seen here promods are capable of 250+ on the quarter. if that isnt exciting then idk what is. think of it this way, Mark Mickes radial tire malibu went 221mph on the 1/8, who wouldnt want to see what it does on the quarter? because its going to be fast. racing is racing, wethers its an 60ft, 1/8th mile, 1000ft or 1/4 mile.
