Pro mod and import probably the most interesting to watch, IMO.

Have to give those mazda powered cars some credit. For being 1.3l -2.6l they do pretty well going up against some big displacement cars.

Remember they run at much lighter weight too. They are impressive.

No shit. And full 1/4 mile at that? What gives? My guess is rain delay and they ended up having to race during the week. I hate when that happens.

people kinda lose interest in promods, now it's all "no prep" "street" racing

As always, thank you for a fine job on audio and video. There were a couple artistic moments when you caught the sunsets. The Imports ran very well with supercharged-chainsaw engines!! lol Nothing compares to the thunderous rumble of the Pro Mods.

man that left lane is getting bumpy

This is not even close. We've been blessed with 1/8 mile racing. Only a couple full passes from the imports and domestics when the run the 1/4.

Sum1 wanna explain the necessity for these stretched wheelbase setups, when there r drag radial cars running times in this same territory? I personally hate the promod look.
@jasonhook38845 жыл бұрын
It allows for a more aerodynamic, well-balanced car, and gives the car a lower, more even center of gravity. Oh, and it's WAAY more lightweight than any steel-bodied back-halved car out there. Plus, it's not really a "look", and none of the cars in this video were on radials. Pro Modified is an entire class in the NHRA, and it's the fastest doorslammer class at that. It's also one of the biggest and most rapidly growing.

Lol 11:53 they celebrate because the import beat a broken pro mod lolol
@b-trucker77176 жыл бұрын
Just the way how they think they really beat the cars on the fucked up left lane cause their cars was faster in their heads😂
@jasonhook38845 жыл бұрын
@@b-trucker7717 Seems like the concept of "winning" is a bit lost on you guys. You see, it doesn't really have to be pretty, or a clean pass, or a close race, or even a complete pass from both cars for that matter. Whatever turns on that win light works. On that pass, the import spanked that Mustang's ass. That's just how it is dude.

You do realize fastest imports are from PR and the current world record is 5.55 😂 Imagine if puertoricans get interested on building a pro mod 😂 world record within weeks! Puertoricans have the fastest cars on their category.. 🤷🏻♂️ Yikes these gringos just don't know how to tune their cars 🏃🏃🏃

@@alexandercurtis4427 Well- a pro import that did a time of 5.55 is insane but I haven’t seen a pro mod run below 5.59

@@lapaliracing2923 Q80 had a 69 Camaro run 5.46 7 years ago. And I believe their C5 Corvette blower car ran 5.56 around the same time. Edit: I stand corrected. The C5 ran 5.47 side by side with the Camaro which ran 5.46

It sure seems no matter how much boost is used( pro import) always loses- thumbs UP for trying - hard to beat 900 cu. in. with a small engine. I respect what you're doing though.
