Pro-Palestinian protesters interrupt Memorial Day ceremony

A Memorial Day ceremony to remember veterans who died while fighting for America was interrupted by pro-Palestinian protesters.

What’s disgusting is what you Americans approve of…….. Palestinians have fought in your military and given their lives for your freedom! My father died a Vietnam Vet sickened by the war and he was Palestinian. My son has also completed a year long tour in a war zone for your freedom soooo if we choose to protest then we will BECAUSE THAT IS WHAT MY FAMILY SERVED FOR!

sandmasterflex - They have a right to peacefully protest. They do not have a right to be a disturbance to a memorial, threaten people, and deface public property. The fact they are protesting a memorial for the victims of Oct 7th does show they support the atrocity Hamas committed. This group of peaceful Palestinian supporters are not so peaceful.

Free speech does not mean you can disrupt a very important event where the fallen are remembered for their selfless service in laying down their all for the sake of the many. At least they should honor the ceremony for the sake of those to whom honor is due. Its unfortunate that free speech is not confined to freely speak one's mind but can also mean violation of public order to make oneself heard.

This happens because no one puts these disruptive and disrespectful people in their place. Instead of curtailing the event which is annual and which you have permits to proceed with, have the cops do their jobs and remove the people disrupting your event.
