Pro Pinball Timeshock! 10,594,097,870 points (PC, 1997)

Played with default factory settings.
I think it is my best game to this day. I did a lot of mistakes all the way (wasted 3 or 4 balls on a single exploration for instance, and always failing video mode level 3) but managed to reach "the dawn of time" and then "the end of the time" nonetheless.
The first time I reached "the dawn of time" I was in panic since I wasn't really prepared to it, so I failed to save the universe. The second try went more smoothly.
I was very tense when I then had to reach "the end of time": it was my last ball so no mistake was allowed. Hopefully I locked the three balls successfully.
For a FAQ, I would recommend Tarek's at Gamefaqs, it has good advice on scoring techniques.

Recorded in 1024*768@60fps using FRAPS, converted to 30fps and upscaled to 1280*720 (with vertical black strips) to prevent KZbin from horribly resizing the video, and encoded with Anri-chan (Speeddemosarchive recording tool).

I have all three of the 'Pro Pinball' tables. This one, then there are the other two that I can't remember the titles of now, lol. Pro Pinball, came out long before Pinball Arcade. It's still the closest you can get to playing on a real life pinball table.

This was absolutely incredible. I never though I'd see the end of the game, since I SO suck at it, even though I've been playing it -- on and off -- since its release. Thank you for the upload. This procedure is called Ball Search, it fires solenoids in locations, where ball might get stuck, the procedure can be seen also in modern solid state pinball machines. You can see it @ 1:00:54 in this video.

Pro Pinball was the first series with an engine that felt like an actual Pinball machine. Although newer Pinballs like Zen have nice physics, they lack an evolved story mode and the complex dynamics of this table. Thats why the high score vids for these tables are mostly due to some stupid abuse (at least what I've seen so far) instead of the most points coming from playing the story mode. Nice Score, especially first ball (68x bonus is insane). But you can improve your death saves a lot, This could give you even better scores.Although there's a few little tricks that are helpful. The one I mostly use is tabbing one pin really fast 2 times at a similar timing like a drop stop - you can perfectly catch a lot of balls like that. Do you still play? I wonder if you improved your score. I started playing again a few days ago and was hoping for a new vid with a 12B score :). Sadly Fraps makes my pinball lag like nothing good, But it's really hard to get back to my old scores anyways.

Great job. Never seen a full complete game before! I love TS, but always seem to suck at it (after a while I find myself getting sloppy with the shots). I honestly think the original plays better than the Ultra re-release version too.

I haven't played Timeshock in years. I used to be real good at it BUT I never was able to go to the Dawn of Time more or less The End of Time. I never knew there was a End of Time level. WHAT A GAME played here. I can't believe I watched the whole video. It was too hard to not watch it. Congratulations on a super game dude. I used to have a room full of people amazed that the way I played this game but never like this. Wow.

Well played! Even with myriad pinball sims that were released since then, the Pro Pinball series remains the best, One odd thing I remember from when I had this decades ago: At the first chance to time travel, it allowed me to choose dawn of time, and Unknown from the beginning, and Rome/Prehistory were locked out. I always assumed that was a bug at the time. Anyway, thanks to your amazing game: I will purchase this from GOG. I've been itching to play this again anyway.

Absolutely love this game. But I think it should be played without music. Try that and you'll notice it will become an entirely different experience. Makes you focus on the game much more. The mechanics of this pinball game are quite beautiful.

Best Pinball ever made, not a single real one can't match the gameplay. Was in Topten in the ladder (CAT). Don't remember my points record, but i did the whole concept of it with the first ball to the "end of time" feature. Sounds maybe impossible, i know - my bro never ever made it with all 13 possible balls - but i made it with the very first a couple of times ;D Still my dream to play this one in real - still hope someone will build it for real some day :) Greetz to all pinball lovers :)

Back when I used to play the game, it took me a while but I actually managed to complete the Ramp Rampage and Quickshot Mania in separate games. I honestly tend to make sure I have a Time Warp Frenzy lit before starting either one of those modes.

I am kind of surprised, as I thought the updates were automatic. When I noticed it didn't update after I submit, I thought it was simply broken :) Anyway, thanks for the update Anri. Also, nice score you got there (30 gigapoints). I don't think I will optimize this much further though, as my goal was to break my previous scores (around 6 gigapoints IIRC) as well as reaching the "end" of the game - which I barely achieved !

Ok i searched my old papers: Highscore in normal mode was 45,836 billions. 29,3 billions of it i made with the first ball. At least 2 times through the whole concept until end of time feature. Still have the code for that score ;)

Hey. I have all Pro Pinball games but only Fantastic Journey works on my Win7 64 bit computer. No more Timeshock. There are patches out there but they don't work. I even bought a second and more recent edition of Timeshock with Win 7 compatibility on the DVD box but still no luck. :( Any ideas?

well played.... all those explorations in 1st try - found that always to be the hardest part of the game I wonder why you used to bump the table when the ball comes from the crystal instead of using the flipper to "magnet" it (hold flipper up and release as soon as the ball touches it). I know it's quite hard but imho it's more predictable once you know how to do it.

No special trick involved, it should play natively. The game reads the audio tracks directly from the CD (they are CDDA tracks).

I still can't figure out how to save a draining ball by bouncing it back up. I'm tilting upwards and it never quite works. This game is almost pointless to play if you can't do that.

I expect to complete the story mode soon, i made a custom settings today, will try it out tomorrow.It makes way more easy,almost cheating:) Check it out: 10balls 9 buy-ins Simple ball saver 30 sec (instead of 30) Magnosave at every ball start Lock (easy) Drop targets(easy) Easy time drive Tilt warnings 10 (instead of 2) Time warp frenzy time 60 seconds Time warp boost (add a ball) 30 seconds Frenzy's ball saver 60 seconds Super scan at every scan 2x (instead of 5) Extra balls unlimited Extra ball lit at every 5 scan(instead of 15:D) Extra ball lit at every multiplier 5x (instead of 25) Extra ball at 5 continents So these are the easyer settings,i will try tomorrow. With the factory settings or near to that, is locking 4 time zones, but it is a very good game if i am able to do that. The funny thing is im not sure i'm going to complete the story of timeshock with these settings:DD Im not bad, but it horribly difficult, coz the 8 or so explorations are difficult to get all of those. Will see:D This dude in the vid is crazy skilled to do that with factory settings.

And it is ok if you don't want to optimize your score, so my 6th place is not in danger ;-) Altough only some small changes in your play could improve your score enormously... like at 47:34 were the ball drains, you nudge a little bit too early. When you do this a little bit later and then press nudge up and directly afterwards nudge to right the ball is 100% on the right flipper (it has the perfect speed) :-)
