Me again. I wish I had read these reviews before buying this timer as there are other manufacturers which are vastly superior. I still can’t believe how much time I wasted trying to follow those inane instructions. Thank you Justin James for providing an alternative link - I finally set up the timer in under 5 min! This company should pay you.

This has to be the absolute worst programmable switch ever, you should not have to watch an 8 minute step by step video on a simple on-off operation....
@richardw43354 ай бұрын
Absolutely insane! I have to go through this 15 step procedure (requiring me to watch this 9 minute KZbin video) every time there is a 5 second power outage at my house - necessitating a reset of the timer. Whoever thought this up must've decided to make this the LEAST user-friendly system on the planet! 🤬🤬🤬🤬

just pull this thing and replace it with a standard on/off switch and let your motion sensor / IR sensor handle the sunset / sunrise cycles.

Help me understand the Offset Time instructions. Which offset setting causes the timer to come on later at Sundown (and then shutoff earlier at Sunup), "adding time" with the UP arrow, or "subtracting time" with the DOWN arrow? I simply do not understand what Leviton means with the add/subtract words they use in the instructions. Thanks

Mine is a lot older than this model, probably installed about 30 years ago. I remember it was very hard to program, using only the one button that turns the light circuit on and off and a very small mechanical switch hidden on the side of it. No one seems to have instructions for programming it anymore...

My house has this controller applied to a heated towel rack. It is virtually impossible to quickly and positively establish OFF mode. Might have failed, and not in "fail safe" mode. I'd be more comfortable if this were, instead, a low voltage lighting circuit, but instead it is too hot to touch heat.

Your vedio is the best , This sw is very confusing , Do we need to go to Sn Dn and Sun uo to turn the lite off. Leviton should make the terms simple, On time --Off time , I never come acroos any thing more confusing than this, Please add add to your video, how to set light on, and then how to turn off the lights. Like off set time , say my time is 4.30 pm to 7.00 am , what will one hour off do , make it 3.30 pm to 8,00 am. Thanks again your video is the best over all

Great programmable switch! Easy to use. Don't like “smart” Wi-Fi/Bluetooth switches all over the house and don't want to overload my wireless network with light switches. Issue with installation: if backlight & LED doesn't turn on, you might have the black/red wires to swap instead of just the neutral wire possibly giving you a problem; follow instructions carefully.

Definitely worst timer switch ever. I’m pretty technically savvy. I work with computers and programmable automated equipment every day. This brutal thing takes me 20 minutes to program using an iPad running the attached video, a headlamp, my glasses, a second device to look up lat and long, and a short stool so I can sit comfortably and see under the lifted switch door flap. The programming steps are not intuitive, so following the video is required. My switch actually goes unprogrammed for weeks after every power failure because I hate programming it so much! I can’t see the average person (remember the incorrect blinking time on your ancient VCR or microwave) successfully using this. Such a bad design all around. It would be a huge improvement if the flap opened downward so you didn’t need to be on your knees below the thing to look upwards to program it. It’s just brutal. Return it now! You have been warned!
