It's always great to hear a professional's point of view on any given topic (in this case, competitive driving). But it's INFINITELY better if said professional also knows about the game they are commenting on. Also, him preferring a controller over a steering wheel when playing GT was an amusing revelation. @CosmicStardust20252 жыл бұрын
May have to say, but missed the other points of the assists are ASM(Active Stability Management) and Countersteer Assist Mode(which not sure if its fake) that also affects cars handling as well to keep the car stabled. Since always keeping it stabled with those and with TCS can totally make you slow indeed unless you tune the differential properly to give it enough torque to move the car instead of too much torque that equals a uncontrollable car. Plus most of the clips were license tests which are default cars with default setting PD had set(aside the dirt tracks glitch with other tires update fiasco), gotta take those tests with those tires and car. Been able to do all but one license test without any assists to going old school to getting the gold. But all in all a good way to show how fun GT7 is, to challenge you in this game.

Gran turismo is a Game where I learn to Drive. when I first got my driver's license I didn't do any lessons through driving lessons. I only played gran turismo with a controller, but the game already has almost all aspects and understanding of real-life driving. That's why when I took a driver's license, I got perfect scores, and didn't have to spend a lot of money to take driving lessons that were held at the course.

They changed that in an update about 2/3 months ago. Much easier to drive most cars now.
@toolman90812 жыл бұрын
@@mr8I7 yeah, it got better, but it's still not realistic at all. You take a GT3 car on softs in real life, you can power out of the turn. In the game, you'll be sliding sideways, into the barrier. In its current state. There are still a lot of cars, like the 2014 corvette, that you cannot even drive in a straight line. Up to speed on a straight, floor it and the car does some weird GTA stuff. Weight transfer was what version 1.13 fixed. They had a problem with many cars that weight transfer was overburdening the rear tires. IMO, and many of the people near the top of this competitive online content of GT7, they gave too much grip but they can tweak that back. As to the racing lines, I too notice the rubbered sections of the track. Often, the track limits do not include those areas. So you will receive a slow down penalty for using those lines. Unfortunately, they use an AI for determining exceeding track limits penalties instead of a set track limit and they have multiple track limit settings so you can race a track once, and not get a penalty but come again with a different car and take the same lines and get a penalty. Sometimes even the same car on the same line is a penalty once and not a penalty another time. I've watched some of the top guys in the game get a penalty for absolutely nailing a corner. The game determines that the person could not have made that corner, at the speed they carried, without cutting the corner, per the AI. The penalty system is flaky on online daily and cup lobbies. In private lobbies and solo game play, like what you are watching, there is no real penalty system. Getting a penalty will only affect you by taking your clean race bonus away. All that aside, there is some frustration in this game but there is a lot more fun.

What wheel should i go fort?
@KontryBoy7062 жыл бұрын
@@ramia4920 depends on your budget. Most expensive wheels are direct drive wheels. Direct drive is the term of the technology. Superior force feedback and feel. Step down from that is belt driven wheels, which is what I use. They use belts in the motor design for a smooth feel when you’re turning the wheel etc. with great force feedback. Step down from this technology is cog gear wheels. Still a good option, cheaper, but not as smooth as belts or direct drive wheels. Popular cog wheels Logitech G29, G920, G923. Popular belt wheel Thrustmaster T300, T300RS, TGII. Popular direct drive wheel Fanatec DD Pro, CSL. With all that said the pedal sets these come with and how well they are is a factor too. Some of these wheels have removable rims which you can replace with an upgraded wheel or F1 type etc. some of them don’t. I went with the Thrustmaster T300RS GT Edition for my first wheel. Love it. Upper mid range wheel. Great force feedback and smooth turning. Upgraded pedals over the regular T300 and I can still upgrade the wheel and change to a different one. If I wanted to spend almost twice as much I would have got the Fanatec DD Pro. But I didn’t want to lol. If you want to go even cheaper than these wheels I’ve mentioned… you would be sacrificing quite a bit. Allllllll of this is just MY opinion though lol.

Dragging the tcs to one is great advice as every release there's a cult of people that insist you can't drive because others use assist.. Then completely embarrass themselves as they desperately try to press out of course features and maintain any sort of consistent pace.. Its best to tune for stability and power management with balancing traction patch and wheel offset then subtle Aero changes to inforce drivability and then progressively cut TCS to squeeze torque out of your initial engagement within each gear respectively.. Or you can just randomly change abunch of metrics and tunable systems without any prerequisite understanding of their function in a neverending nightmare of placebo.. Which is miserably common..
