Got my pro license in 1974, and does this bring back memories. To see Guy Mcclure and JR Rawls who were fellow Texans among all the greats was so refreshing. Great video, but it would been nice to have sound and smell.

Good old indoor follow-the-leader short tracking. Only way to pass is to force your way through. Skill alone won't do it. Why I quit going to the Timonium Indoors.

Duke Pennell was really one of the good guys back then. I damn near decapitated him at Springfield in 1969-1970 when I shelled a number plate about 10-15 feet in front of the start/finish line. When I walked down to pick it up, he mentioned he really liked the then new plastic plates. I made new ones the next week.

Indoor motorcycle racing without ANY type of ventilation/exhaust fan to clear the room of fumes. Now the want everyone to wear a mask while pumping gas…..
