I really need to play Pro Street at some point. One of the few NFS games I've just... ignored. I'm just amazed at the sense of speed here

The default game's sense of speed is actually so intense and disorienting that it's difficult to enjoy there I've modded my "copy" with so many changes, and FOV/camera shake were one of the first things I finalized for myself

@@ATomatoIsAFruit Any essential mods that you can list here. Just in case I find the time to play Pro Street and get the best experience

@@MariusUrucu I should specify that many of these I've tailored extensively to my liking and/or play around them to some extent: nfsmods.xyz/mod/2 - Xanvier's Multifix Absolutely essential. It fixes a critical bug with the unpatched game, and brings back the 60fps cap. Requires the v1.1 patch but you should get that anyway. thirteenag.github.io/wfp#nfs - Widescreen patch Very welcome addition that enhances existing widescreen support, and also fixes brake lights so they actually shine when you brake lmao nfsmods.xyz/mod/1029 - Extra Options Change your racer's name, unlock everything at once, enable debug cameras and so on... nfsmods.xyz/mod/3363 - HD Reflections Looks nice, y'know? nfsmods.xyz/mod/1117 - Extended Cameras Pro Street's default cameras are very stiff. This one adds some welcome lerp and smoothness, plus some wide fields of view in general. Note that I have tweaked it to extend the FOV shift from very slow speeds all the way to *500kmh*. nfsmods.xyz/mod/2175 - Sharp Driving Pro Street also notoriously has very sluggish and unsatisfying handling, because steering input builds up over time and instantly resets when input is released. This cuts down drastically on the time to full lock, and decreases steering range with speed so you don't immediately spin out or understeer. Brings the handling more in line with previous Black Box games, though PS' additional physics simulation makes it much more exciting than MW05 in my opinion. Also becomes much more enjoyable with a gamepad again - most all of my PS videos are on keyboard. nfsmods.xyz/mod/1475 - McLaren F1 fixes pack The car was released in a notoriously poor shape on PC. This gives it the engine sound it deserves as well as smaller tweaks to its appearance. Performance is still busted without intervention. *Actually I might recommend almost everything that Kai's uploaded on that site, they're very good mods and tweaks.* nfsmods.xyz/mod/1221, www.nfscars.net/need-for-speed-pro-street/9/files/view/14518/, several more... - Sound mods While the base game sounds fine, some cars have very awkward engine notes. These are just a few that rectify these issues, there are *so many* that I've both installed and fixed myself that I'd be here all day. nfsmods.xyz/mod/1757 - Driver Assists Disabler For some reason, Pro Street still keeps a bit of traction and stability control enabled, even when you play on the highest difficulty and specifically disable those. Well, now you have to be a bit more careful with steering because some cars will actually kick their rear end out. Haven't even touched on the rest of the car physics (slow shift speeds, poor aero, weight distribution and mass oddities, general lack of balance), AI difficulty (they're rather easy in the base game), progression and economy (DLC-unlocked cars cost 0) and so on... Alternatively.. either get one of the handling overhaul mods on nfsmods.xyz, or contact me for a (really buggy still) copy

@@MariusUrucu One more thing to mention is that most if not all of these mods require NFS VLT-Ed to install. It's straightforward insofar as just importing settings can be lmao: point the program to your game directory, then import mod scripts, show it the goods, and let it do its thing, then save and play If you wanna get your hands dirty and start actually tweaking things, good luck
