In a condensate return system can we just mix it with cold water instead of dumping it? Greetings wareboilers

Condensate return is basically hot water mixing it with cold water very inefficient and will consume more energy. Corrosion is a big factor too. It's shocks the systems due to temperature difference but it not impossible , I have seen (but very rare) heat exchangers installed to reduce high temperature condensate to a lower temperature to be used in other process water applications
