Pro Tips for CDJs and rekordbox (Part 1)

You can do instant doubles on 2000nexus. Have sync turned on both cdjs. Then hold sync on the other CDJ. It will copy the track playing over to the other CDJ

+D-Squared You don't even need to have sync on both, just on the deck that you want to copy, turn it on then hold it. Surprised these guys didn't know about that.

On a Nexus setup, you can hold the Sync button on the 2nd CDJ and it'll load the same track as the 1st CDJ, playing in sync.

Gurinder Babra only just changed over from having a pair of cdj1000s mk3 to cdj2000nexus2s and im using a cheap windows lappy that keeps freezing rekord box works better on a mac right???

majorswitch the problem is your cheap laptop. I have a gaming pc, no lag not even with 3 dj programs open at the same time.

Thanks for the video. I cant get my track to play active loop at the end of a track. I have done it correctly on rekordbox and will not automatically loop when i play on my CDJ. Ist it because my CDJ is the original 900 model or am i missing something?

Yep, you've got the hot cues, memory points, all you need on there. The only thing you couldn't do with an RX is load your settings from your media, but it saves your settings on power-down anyway - and it has the single play option.

On your CDJ’s, there is a little black button for ‘time/auto cue’ just hold it down for a second to change back and forth.

why did he say you cant have loops when loading a track in traktor? i can just have a load marker and a predefined loop on the same beat and have the same result...

Because he belongs to the people that are actually convinced that the CDJ is superior to TRAKTOR. Don't get me wrong, the CDJ are great for honing your skills, exactly BECAUSE you find yourself deprived of all the modern goodies that TRAKTOR featured for almost two decades now. But when it comes down to range of functionality, you need to be either mentally challenged or sponsored by Pioneer to think the CDJ is superior to a decent TRAKTOR/Controller setup. Which you can get for a fraction of the money.
