36:10, 2/4 Brimaz, King of Oreskos and 1/1 cat token attack into Jace, Architect of Thought. 2/2 Mutavault and a 1/1 soldier token block both respectively, Brimaz and his token die with no damage done to the opponent at all. Am I missing something?

how does the brimaz token work because it never attacked, it was put into play attacking, does it retain its natural stats or does it lose one power from jace +1 ability just wondering if anyone can answer it would be much appreciates

Lachlan Hawkins Jace, Architect of Thought's +1 ability is an on-attack trigger. So yes, you're right. If Brimaz attacks into Jace's +1 ability, while Brimaz is affected by the trigger, the token is safe from it because it never actually attacked.

Noah Wilson He had Jace's +1 to deal with all of Zvi's tokens, and Elspeth Emblem-Pumped creatures to block the attackers that mattered.

49:11 Couldn't Reid Duke activate two mutavaults, double block a rat with the two vaults, and block the other two rats with his own rats, and after declare blocks, tap his mutavaults and his last black source to make a 3rd pack rat, making his 5/5's as well, killing two of Kyle's Rats, and then making Kyle's third rat die due to it being a 3/3 with 4 damage on it (from the mutavaults)? I'm surprised Reid didn't see that line of play.

This play would not have helped his board state. In the end he would be left with a lone pack rat and no mutavaults vs a packrat and mutavault.

You already wrote that comment 4 weeks ago... Not sure if you already did something or not... Anyway, whatever your decision will be, MonoBlue, Blue/Red, whatever... With the rotation so close, it's better to wait a couple of weeks and then, after Khans of Tarkir are released you can choose correctly what deck you should assemble! Because at this point in time, some of the cards will rotate out soon, as you should know, and a lot of new and powerful cards will be available! So basically, this is not the best time to start constructing a deck, at all... I hope you didn't waste money or something on any deck... Cause after the rotation and the release of Khans of Tarkir, your decklist will change for sure! About the better decision to your deck... I guess that you will have the answer as soon as you see the new cards! ;) The fetchlands will change a lot of things on Standard!

Jonathan Ball Yeah.... I have to agree that the commentators didn't mentioned it, (like someone else said on a previous comment)... But Urborg it's a well known card, and at even before Duke played it, the commentators already had mentioned that he had one on his hand! Just like they don't mentioned "now he can tap 3 mana to make a Rat token" everytime someone casts a Pack rat... It's a well known card, right? You obviously don't need to know every single MTG card, no one does! But at least some of them, it's highly probable that you know them! "Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth" is one of those cards... Anyway, when Duke played it, he tapped his Mutavault for black mana to cast a Bile Blight... Next turn, his opponent tapped both of his Mutavaults for black mana to cast a Connections.... And no one noticed that a Urborg was in play? Or were everyone cheating on that table?... Jonathan Ball it's not exactly as you said, that "Nobody in the comments seems to understand"... But...If you are watching a match and something wrong happens once... happens twice.... keeps happening... Seriously? Don't you stop and think a little bit, "what the hell is happening here??" until you figure it out, "Ohhh, it was that Urborg that I didn't noticed when it was played".... Anyway... lifelink triggers whenever a creature deals damage hence the blood baron deals damage to the mutavault for 4 beacause it has an attack of 4 then triggers the lifelink to heal for 4.

Reid should've taken Kyle's thoughtseize with his thoughtseize in G3 instead of Desecration Demon. It was the only thing protecting his own Bile Blight from Kyle's thoughtseize, and Reid needed the bile blight to deal with Kyle's Pack Rat on the board.

Wouldn't it have been better for Reid Duke to discard Thought Seize instead of Desecration Demon in the beginning of game 3? I think that was a misplay which cost him the game. He could've kept his Bile Blight, prevented Pack Rat from going crazy. Even when his oppponent played Desecration Demon sometime later, he could've killed all Pack Rats with Bile Blight and then just get the demon off the field with Devour Flesh.

I think his thought process might have been that he was going to play his own Pack Rat, so blight would have been just as bad for him. A mistake probably, but there's logic in the decision.

Agreed, it's exactly what I was thinking HOWEVER after replaying that part, Reid did not know another rat was coming down the next turn as he drew into the 2nd rat.. i'm sure Reid would have picked different if he had that information

Didn't you noticed that on the previous turn Duke also casted a Bile Blight tapping a Mutavault for black mana, killing all the rats on the battlefield?!? A Lifebane Zombie was casted tapping Mutavaults for black mana too... A Nightveil Specter too!... They both must be cheaters, right!?!?!? Or maybe.... You didn't noticed that Duke played a "Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth", and started calling cheater to a player even before you tried to figure out why he was able to do that (tapping a Muatavault for black mana).... Maybe next time you would ask what happened (just like everyone else did when they watched it!) before you start doing accusations of cheating!!

On the next turn Duke played his Urborg and casted a "Bile Blight" tapping his Mutavault for black mana, and killed both rats! Urborg it's a very well known card, and it was already mentioned that Duke had one on his hand, so those who are watching knows that there are one Urborg that could be played... On the previous turn Duke already had tapped his Mutavault for black mana... And the turn after, tapped both of his Mutavaults for black mana too!... Anyway, my point is... Being Urborg such a well known card on the format, and since the commentators already mentioned its presence, I don't think that they needed a more detailed explanation! Just like they don't mention things like "a Pack Rat was casted, now he can tap 3 mana to make a Rat token"... And yes, they obviously noticed that the Urborg was played... At that point on game, both players were already tapping their Mutavaults for Black mana for 2 turns! So...
