What I really like (you've already said a lot, thx for being a guy that doesn't just critize mindlessly) is also the commentary. Those two guys really know what they are talking about, I don't play alot anymore, but it's soooo nice to have two commentators that can bring people back to formats that they don't really know. It's not to basic, which is very pleasing since most viewers should be able to play the game properly themselves =) Greetings

I love magic and I don't even play it, Magic has the most creative, fantastic and beautiful lore ever created, ever.

Is there a way to se the lists of cards being used in the decks throughout the pro tour? Love to try out some of them myself. ^^

About the Avenging Arrow issue around 39:00 minutes... If he blocks with gatekeeper vine, he can't pay for Avenging Arrow anyway. Because at that point, no creature of Majlaton dealt damage yet. You can only activate Avenging Arrow AFTER a creature dealt damage this turn. So if he wanted to cast Avenging Arrow that turn he had to decide NOT to block with gatekeeper vine. Someone please tell me whether this is correct or not, thanks.

i agree. not sure if you have watched other matches outside of this one. and they have a couple different commentators and i always skip them unless zach hill is commentating. he just has a nice way of talking and very very knowledge able probably cuz he was on research and development for magic.

It's actually so that their opponent's don't know anything about their hand. After they draw for example, they shuffle so as to disguise which card they drew that turn. If they just topdeck and play that card, often it is a signal that they just drew what they needed luckily and thats all they have as an answer (or another copy of the same card also). Shuffling also solves the grouping problem as cards are randomly distributed in their hands. No discerning what they are holding based on position

At around 29:15, how did Floch play the guildmage and not take damage from the sphinx? Wasn't it Martell's turn?

He can float the mana, and it would remain until the end of combat step. At that time, the mana is there and the damage is dealt.

it's to hide information from your opponent, like which card you just drew, or which card you've had in your hand the whole game

Whatever people say I'm convinced that many, probably not all, but many players shuffle around their cards to look cool. "Yeah I'm a nerd but look at how good I am shuffling these cards, wanna guess what these magic fingers'll do to your private areas, ladies?" Kinda like that.

the person who puts the card info up on the right hand side isn't very good at it. at one point, during a RTR limited round, there was even a card from zendikar up there >

Why do they all fuck around with their cards all the time?
@ChrisFan1112 жыл бұрын
cuz if they group them in an obvious way their opponents might guess what they have

i think tom waited too long for electrickery... taking 6 damage from a 2/1 in the beginning of the game really hurts

you'd think that the players would be happy or something but, no, straight face and flicking /ruffling the cards over and over again. Yeah, that looks like fun....2srs4me casual all the way.
