PRO TUROK

Turok - AKA Dinosaurs and Laser Guns. Released for the Nintendo 64. Turok Dinosaur Hunter was the FPS on the console. It spawned over a dozen sequels. (2 sequels, 1 spin-off, 1 prequel, and 1 reboot)
Is it fun? Maybe, let's find out. :)

I definitely need to get around to actually playing this. I have 1 and 2 in my Steam library, but haven’t played them yet for whatever reason. I hope that Nightdive eventually remasters Turok Evolution and adds in cut content, better aiming, and adds check points. Those quality of life improvements would make it into a good game. The 2008 version that tried to copy Elmer’s from Gears of War and other games without understanding what made those work or what made Turok work should just be left behind. It’s so weird how we haven’t had a reboot with the resurgence of Boomer Shooters. If they took the best elements from across the series you’d have the foundation for something truly phenomenal!

Personally, I think Turok 2008 was a good game. Though it should've been its own thing instead of being a "turok game". Evolution is my favorite of the series and I think Nightdive could make it a pretty nice remaster if they fix some of the kinks in it. E.g. The broken stealth system and improving the flight sections. And if you're interested, there's a trailer for a game called "Son And Bone". It pretty much seems to be a boomer-shooter derived from Turok and games alike.
