A probability of 0 means that an event is impossible. So if you find that P(E) = 0, that means that E will not occur. As an example, when rolling a six-sided die, the event that we roll a 7 is impossible To learn more about Arithmetic, enrol in our full course now: bit.ly/QuantArithmetic To watch more Arithmetic, click here - bit.ly/Arithmetic_DMYT

that's what in math we call a permutation with repetition. Given n elements, the total number of ways you can arrange them is given by n^r being r the total number of elements you want to choose from n

shouldn't you include the possible 3x1 and 1x3? 1-P(sum< or equal to 3) You only included the outcomes that are less than 3 and not equal to 3.
@TheShadowking15965 жыл бұрын
its based on sum and not on product that appears on each dice, So 3x1 or 1x3 will be equal to 4 and hence are not included

Nope it's only one (1,1). There's only one possibilty of getting (1,1), that is when we get the number 1 on both dies. Same goes for (2,2), (3,3) and so on.
