Routing, specific BLJs and other tricks, level/map knowledge, lag reduction, etc. All of which I'm sure are somewhere laying dormant in Simpleflips's muscle memory/brain recesses. But no one just is good at that speedrun without really grinding it out.

These kaizo hacks mostly seem to rely on niche movement tricks, precise angles, and momentum conservation, whereas speedrunning employs a massive well of tricks and knowledge, but is less focused around the platforming knowledge specifically.
