Problem on the 90 Chevy Silverado(OBS)

Hey whats up guys, we had some problems on the 90 Chevy..but we are going to do something either LS swap, 383 stroker, or cheap way and fix whats wrong with it. feel free to comment below i like to hear your guys opinion...thanks

I wouldn’t LS swap but if you have the money, time, and resources to do it then by all means. I think you’d be better off with 383.

I just put a blue print engines 383 in my obs. I vote either a rebuild or the 383 route. To many LS swaps out there nowadays.

383 swap is what (personally) I would do. I have a 92 with just an exhaust and a few repairs. I’ll be putting in a 383 or a 400 so it would be cool to see the end result before I do my truck. Your truck is sick man

Id do a 383. I just put at vortec block in my 94 and made it a 383. I installed a holly sniper instead of the TBI.

That’s crazy I just got my 700r4 trans rebuilt on the ride home from picking the truck up trans go out now my motor knocking. So was it your oil pump???

What's the specs on your wheel and tire set up?Just dropped mine and need to order some wheels and rubber! , sad to see the motor is knocking. LS swap is the way I would go, but still lots of love for the SBC!

Im in the same spot ls swap sounds very reliable and i mean thats always a good thing but rebuilding it to the original is cheaper or should be if i had the money 383 for sure! But i dont so ls swap most likely or just get a new engine which is what im looking into

It might be something else and not the oil pump. My oil pump went out on my 04 Tahoe with a 4.8 and it sounded a lot louder

I would take it apart to see the parts it needs. If it needs a crank go 383 if not stick with 350 nothing wrong with a 350.

La swap 100%. Way cheaper than building a 383. a stock ls 4.8, 5.3. 6.0. with a cam and tune. You'll never think about using or waisting your money on a old pos 350.
