This would be a good idea for lease cars at the right price. So long as it’s cheaper than the fine for stone chips on returning the car. Keep up the good work!

Yes! I soo hope this works. I'm fed up with stone chips and cracked windscreens. I really think this would go down well at a retail level. Waiting with bated breath to see your update in a few months time. Nice one Jon! 🍻

I've had 2 of my cars covered about 2 years ago. Not sure of the makes but saved my golf windscreen when had what felt like a meteor hit. Without it would have cracked the glass but all it did was dent the ppf. There is some optical aberrations and try to clean the screen often to stop small particles that build up and lightly scratch the film. Don't get the mindset of fit and forget it will need replacing at some stage. Recommended

Will be interested to see / hear how you get on in low sun / night driving with headlights on the windshield. Optics on the first films were a bit weird so hopefully the technology has improved over the past 2 years. I have looked at windscreen films in the past and they were expensive and didnt have a decent life span. A hot summers day could also cause chaos with windscreen wipers adhering to the film. So curious to see how this stacks up as time ticks by, but for sure overall it has many useful benefits.👍

Can you add the usual Glaco over the top of it? How is it effected buy dirt on your wiper blades?

I'd love this for my cheap car. I absolutely hate that my windscreen is pitted with micro chips. I would imagine installing a nice glass coating on top of the film would be great too with the fresh canvas

Very interested......my Abarth 124 (& the MX 5) has a windscreen seemingly made of biscuits, given how easily it chips. And if it cracks and needs replacing, then it will be a right royal pain as the window trims need to replaced and they are made from unobtainium

I just cant see it being tough enough to last more than a couple of winter drives with the windscreen wipers using road grit and salt as sand paper.

That would be great, I'd love that on mine. Have some chips in the window now, I drive a lot and most of the roads are country roads so lots of crap from fields etc. Would be great to protect me screen.

Was literally thinking about this a while ago, why is not available etc. Always put a cheap screen protector on an expensive phone, why not my car windscreen? I'd get this for sure!

On both of my cars I am lucky enough to have active cruise control and I can set the distances from the cars in front, The longest setting should ensure a chip free windscreen- until someone cuts in the gap and my car slams the brakes on. A good idea if the price is reasonable. I may consider if it was less then £200 but I can imagine its more for some reason.

The pitting on my windscreen is so bad I want to use the insurance, just pay the 100 quid and replace it. Previous owner must have done 80000 point blank range on the motorway😅

It’s not an Audi by any chance is it ? I know that sounds strange but the two Audis I had ended up with such bad windscreens

Technology is coming along so well. I love the idea of this but as mentioned is it cheaper than a new screen via insurance? I would like it on my head lights! They are not covered and the p* pilot headlights are thousands each. Keep the cont not coming Jon...oh Halfords have an advanced range of detailing stuff...must be worth a review😂

I need something like this for my import, took over 4 months to get a replacement windscreen for it cause it needed to come from abroad.

This type of glass protection would definitely sell well in Colorado. You get so many rock chips here, it's just a matter of WHEN! IT WILL HAPPEN. There are stones and rock bits all over the roads here, it's terrible. I've gotten more rock chips and dings here than anywhere else I have ever lived.

I don't know but it can't be hard as glass so it's got to scuff up. 1 year and it comes off is the deal. So time will tell mate

Shouldn’t effect it, Sitting in the sun hot day on a sunny mid July day would be hotter then any Windscreen heater.

Get this down to a reasonable price and mass market it, and I’ll be your ideal customer. I go through windscreens at least once a year… Terrible lanes, council back fill the edges full of stones. Just the other week a lorry went past me and flicked a stone and cracked it…

Totally different product , Chameleon window tint gets installed on the inside, PPF installed exterior

Putting anything on the glass is illegal. Same goes for window tint unfortunatly.. thst being said. I have 70% VLT tint on my windshield. I dont think such will pass MOT if they notice ANYTHING glued to the windshield.

It's not illegal to put something on your windscreen,it's the tint that's illegal !!!
