I want to thank you for all of the work you did. People don't realize this is a SERIOUS amount of time and effort it's actually ridiculous. I'm looking for a product now as I just had my windscreen replaced due to a rock hit so perfect time to do it now. My last product I tried it had judder with the wipers I actually thought I did something wrong and it's not for wipers to go over hahaha now repairs that's actually a thing in the stats you covered. I need easy of use no judder and goo lasting ...so it seems like the quick view will be the one for me that is available locally in Sydney. Thank you so so much again. SUBBED due to the extreme effort you put in.

🤣🤣🤣 I'm on the same boat I almost running out if h2go ,I'm actually going to go for the glaco but the ultra model which isnt on this test however I've seen it in John's other video , I like how it hazes alot lighter so when buffing g you can see where you have missed and glaco done well in this test too so durability and hydro shpuld be up there too like the h2go

I've been using Angelwax H2Go for 8 weeks/4,500 miles this Fall, and it's gone already. This time of year we've had some snow, fog, and rain. My wife drives the car everyday and she uses the wipers like normal, not liking to leave them off. After about 6 weeks it was clear the coating under the wipers was gone. The first areas to go were where the blades changed direction. A definite line of non-hydrophobicity. The unwiped areas are a little less hydrophobic but still okay. No wiper chatter and the glass does stay very clean. In the beginning, it was great at resisting bug guts, while they were still active. I just applied it again today after a full clean and polish.

I have noticed that with some of the glass coatings. If they are on the less slick side they can judder a little. I’ve made the mistake of putting paint coatings that are grabby on the windshield (personal vehicle to test) and my lord the judder was crazy. Had to apply a slick topper to let them slide until I could buff it off.

Question Jon. I’ve always been happy with H2GO but next time I apply I’m looking to prepare the windscreen more thoroughly by using a clay bar first then Auto Glym windscreen polish prior to applying the product. Would you recommend doing the same for optimal performance? If anyone is looking to using H2GO for the first time I would definitely recommend NOT using it in any sunlight, waiting 10-15 minutes before buffing off and applying a second layer. Running low of this product so was pleasing to see it top the boards. Great product!

Great video as always, just 1 question, Why the soft99 DX and not the Ultra? If you shop around you can get the Ultra for the same if not cheaper price and as your findings reveal the DX was let down by durability, the Ultra lasts way way longer (3 times on manufacturers claims)

I've always used and been very impressed with Rain-X. It's EXTREMELY hydrophobic and in my experience very durable. I just HATE the application (probably in part due to the particular way I do it, but that's how I've found the most success.) For the best performance of ANYTHING regardless of the instructions, I ALWAYS polish the glass before application and make sure it's bare and flat. If the glass is in pretty good condition (many times will already be a bit hydrophobic), then a regular compounding with a cutting pad will do. If it's rough though (both figuratively or literally) and/or has water impressions on it, then I go for the ceriglass and the glass WILL BE perfectly prepped. Then I do the application process and even the crappiest product will make it bead and last. Would love to try the Angelwax, Glaco (FUSSO is my fave wax ever), and the Infinity Wax (it's near impossible to get a lot of the UK stuff where I live, so I'll have to check). Interesting vid, doubt even the "bad" performers in the haze/sharpness tests would be able to be noticed by someone who didn't know what was on the glass.

Nice test, thank you. As said, very informative. I'd liked to have seen a comparison of a windscreen mock-up of driving into headlights at night (or sun during the day). From personal experience years ago I found RainX was distracting like slightly greasy spectacles. But I found (the never mentioned) A-Glaze Crystal Vision product far better (though harder to apply properly). I'll try the Soft99 next. I guess the 'Haze' / 'Sharpness' results are the closest things for me to look at - thought I have no idea what the numbers mean in real day-to-day or night-to-night :) For me, optical quality is far more important than whether it lasts 3 months or 4 months. The video snippets for wiper judder (aiming towards illuminated logo) showed some pretty unacceptable smearing I thought.

Great video John! I have used a few of these products that are available here in Canada. I have G1 on three different windshields at the moment, with no juder at all, but the beads don't fly as fast as they should but almost no haze after the wiper travels over it. H2Go is a great product and beads very well, last about 6 months plus, easier to apply but has a little bit of haze after wiper travel and performs similar to G5 (I have application issues with G5). CarPro has not been a winner for me either. Gyeon Glass plus cleaner provides very easy use and great beading but produces more haze with wiper travel. I don't like wiper travel haze so G1 is my perferred product but H2Go is right up there for me but my favorite detail site doesn't carry Angel Wax products so I haven't picked up a new bottle.

Would be really interesting to see all these test with a layered combo. For example, could I apply GTechniq and layer on top with Glaco? Is that a no-no? Seems like it would be the best of both worlds where you could do that and just re-apply glaco once wiper judder starts coming into play... assuming of course a top coat of glaco would resolve the wiper judder issues of Gtechniq and hold the same hydrophobics as glaco alone. Same question for Glaco ultra (which is not mentioned here). Can I ceramic coat my glass and them put glaco ultra on top? What about ceramic, then ultra, then Glaco DX? Sounds overkill but might be interesting to see/understand. Especially from the clarity side of things... since I imagine layering too many might hurt haze and sharpness scores?

What's the best way to clean Angelwax H2GO off a windscreen? My car had an intermittent fault, thought the bonnet was open, which stopped the wipers when the car wasn't moving. I thought RainX would help until I fixed the fault. Then decided to do some research and find something better. Based on this video and other reviews I went for Angelwax H2GO. I wish I hadn't. The windscreen is only a few weeks old. I followed the directions and applied the Angelwax. First thing I noticed was a haze as the wipers cleared the windscreen, which reduced visibility. I imagine it will be worse at night with oncoming headlights. Next problem is the judder from the wipers (also brand new). Lastly the wipers no longer clear dead flies and bird poo. Even trying to get it off with warm soap and water took a bit of doing. I didn't have these issues before applying Angelwax, so please, how do I clean it off?

How does the 3D glass polish work on water spots?

Great test!!! I am always interested in glass sealants and coatings. Had great results with Aquapel, GTechniq and the most surprising because of how easy it was to use, XPel Fusion (although this is not available to the public). The one not on your list that is a sealant and super fast and easy to apply is Nextzett Glass Sealant. I can literally do my whole truck in 10 mins or less. Apply to the applicator (you get a ton for the price and a little bit goes a long way), let it haze, then buff off with a water dampened microfiber or glass towel. I get at least 4-6 months on the windshield and 12 months or more on the side windows. Not bad for a $30 bottle that can cover my truck windows at least 24 times over. I end up having so much I do my neighbors and families windows. Oh and my shower glass 😂

Bonjour de France. Qu'est ce que tu es fort ! Ils sont très scientifiques tes tests. C'est dommage que tu ne les fais pas en français ! Même s'il y a une traduction, ce n'est pas le même plaisir. Bravo! Et merci.

Why didn’t you also test the Soft99 Glaco Ultra as you said it is better than the DX in one of your previous tests? Thanks

Can't have 2 from one brand and DX was s99 preferred choice. I prefer ultra

@@ForensicDetailing Fair enough if that’s what they gave you. Where do you think the Ultra would have come in the rankings if it had been tested? Thanks Tom

Im really suprised by nanolex ultra glass not beeing the winner in longevity. I did 2coats on my windscreen and after 5000km i was going to reapply because of edgeing from waterspotremover and had to take the flex vrg with rayonpad and glasspolish on speed 5 and high pressure to get it off. Also wish gyeon view was in the test. Like the other ceramic bottles in the test. But either way.....great work as always J👌🙌

Only seeing this now after making a purchase earlier of some Angelwax Vision (lovely glass cleaner) and some H2GO. I don't think I made a bad choice it seems but may have to give the Infinity Wax stuff a go at some point as never tried their products and their ceramic / sio2 products seem extremely interesting

Thanks - very informative and interesting. I'd be interested in an investigation of whether machine buffing could speed up the buffing/removal process, for products that are finicky to buff off. Glad to see I've been using the winning product for quite some time. 🕺

I think you short changed the Gtechniq a little on value. I have the same small bottle setup and did two complete cars and a windshield out of the kit. (A MINi, a Ford Maverick truck, and the windscreen of a Lincoln Navigator)

all nice and well, good job Jon! 🤔but if a (ceramic) coating (DIY Detail graphene 3year) was to be "all-rounder" (also for glass), it would needed to be included in consumer's holistic consideration, since it would skewed your cost analysis...🤑 🤔 (btw just arrived and shipping on UK shores, Imran has it)

Re the CarPro - the 15mL quantity is actually shipped in the 50mL bottle - it's normal for the bottle to look almost empty. (but yes, it should be a clear liquid)

The updated bottle we got had about 3 or 4 times the amount of product. The original bottle we think had about 5ml in it. Shame but these things happen I guess

Disappointing that you used the Soft 99 Glaco DX which claims a 4 month durability rather than the longer lasting Ultra Glaco that you appear to recommend. It definitely lasts far longer than the eventual winner H2go anyway. I can't stand the trigger they use and to request that the user removes the trigger rather than store it with it on means it's the last time I purchase it. It does the job well enough, but it's not as long lasting as Ultra glaco, or as easy to store.
