K had to listen to it a few times cuz it's a painfully beautiful song. I hate that I relate to this so strongly. Men can and do hurt good women and I'm just tired of being in dead end relationships (they all have been thus far, just gonna do me n avoid all that mess altogether. More like a job interview anymore when meeting someone new, then finding out you got hired for a shit job with no benefits n minimum wage after getting hired for what you thought was your dream career. Nah I'm good on all that!!) This one came from a place of hurt; nobody comes up with lyrics like that without feeling them. I hope you find the right kinda woman who will keep it real with you from day one. You're not meant for a substandard life n future, don't settle for a substandard female!! Same with friends n anyone you give your time n presence to. They'll just keep you anchored when you're obviously headed somewhere great.
