I was out the other night in Bratislava and there was a conversation where two of us out of three began to talk about how bad the Russian misinformation is making things here in Slovakia and everywhere else of course. The third person became upset and began to tell us to shhhh not to get political and that he knows someone in Moscow who says it's a lovely place and things arent that bad at all. The problem is that , especially in this part of the world, the propaganda is still working. I've followed Konstantin now for years and to me, Russia is now on a par with North Korea or Iran. You can openly criticise those countries and their dictators, make jokes about them among normal reasonable people without fear of upsetting anyone. I'm really trying my best to educate others to what the reality is but you seem to have to tread so carefully. Thanks again Konstantin for opening people's eyes to this. I'm sorry this has happened to your country, its a shame we're not all European brothers and sisters as we should be, in a better time.

@@taghiabiri3489 greetings to you too 🙂. I'm a Brit actually with a Slovakian wife. It's a real eye opener just how differently people think over here compared to back home. Many people here in villages remember the communism with rose tinted glasses. They are mainly people who have fallen on harder times during the transition to capitalism, and mainly from more rural parts of the nation, or in the case if younger people, lower educated and easily manipulated. They recall times when everyone had a job, everyone had housing given to them but have selective amnesia about the oppression which accompanied these things. We've got a pro Russian government here and they just elected a pro Russian president. Growing up in the West was very different, we watched movies like Rocky IV where the Russians were the bad guys🤣 so it'll take a long time for the trolls to bring the UK around to a similar thinking to that of the Eastern block. We're all human beings and we are all bad and good in every nation but yeh, Konstantin is doing some really important work here, spread the word too if you can!

@@moggadah I've even had thoughts like what if Big K is an American sponsored KZbinr spreading misinformation in the other direction. I know he's not because he's an absolute dude but it's getting to those extremes where the noise and the traffic is just terrifying, you start doubting yourself. What I do know from life experience in a post communistic country is that after the communism fell, in almost every case, the former assets of those nations were seized by similar "strongmen", in exactly the right place, at the right time. The result is that a whole cleptocracy of bully boys for want of a better term was born. This class is generally without morals, without any real political qualifications or any deep rooted sense of mortality. It was literally rule of the strongest in this situation where hardly any constitution or rule of law applied for a time. These are the growing pains of these nations and I would like to believe that someday younger generations will replace them and truly modern and dynamic nations will emerge. There is so much talent and potential but little room to grow until the old order falls.

Konstantin- in my life, I have been privileged to know some highly educated Russian women who have resided in the US for many years. Many times I’ve heard different women opine that in their opinion, the gulag system was the major contributing factor affecting Russian men to this day. Often the best and brightest men for generations, for more or less 100 years were incarcerated, beaten and broken or exterminated, if they returned to their families they were not the same as when they left. And for what? Their ideas? Their ability to distinguish right from wrong? Refusal to fall in line? In these ladies opinion, the state of Russia today is the result of the generational fallout of the gulag system. I wonder what you think about this? I am fairly new to your channel, your story of yourself and your family’s escape was incredibly moving. I look forward to watching your earlier videos from the very beginning of your channel, so my apologies if you have already addressed this topic in previous videos. ❤

~20 years ago I began learning a bit of Russian because of military deployments to former Soviet states. So as I picked up some learning materials, I found one book of Russian profanity. It mentioned that cursing is part and parcel of Russian language because something like 60% of Russian men had spent time in prison. Cursing was the de facto language of prison, so when the men returned to civil society they brought the broad spectrum of profanity with them. It mentioned that one of the clearest ways of being marked as an outsider was to speak Russian without cursing. But this was primarily a Russian trait, apparently. Because I was actually in Kyrgyzstan, and I showed that book to a couple of our tour guides, two lovely young ladies. They giggled a lot but were equally appalled by some of the language. They told me, "Don't learn this. It's very bad." I suspected that the more remote former Soviet republics were a bit more provincial in regards to language and that prison-speak was not considered polite.

When people's basic live's needs are taken away or endangered, people quickly adapt to their environment and start acting to stop these risks to their own lives. I have seen a small example of this when I worked in a company many years ago. When times were great, everyone was happy, being friendly, spending time with each other after work, everything was great. Then hard times came and the company was in trouble and by that people's jobs were at stake. I saw people turning bad like a leaf on a tree. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. People talking shit about others and doing things I could not believe, just to fight for their jobs. It is simple human behavior. Not to say I like it, but this is simply how humans work.

As a fellow citizen of the world, I wanted to share some important reminders about the rights that we all possess, as outlined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) by the United Nations. These rights are fundamental to our dignity and well-being, and it’s crucial to be aware of them, especially in challenging times. Here are ten fundamental rights from the UDHR that are particularly significant: 1. Right to Life, Liberty, and Security (Article 3): Everyone has the right to life, liberty, and security of person. 2. Freedom from Torture and Inhuman Treatment (Article 5): No one shall be subjected to torture or to cruel, inhuman, or degrading treatment or punishment. 3. Right to Recognition as a Person Before the Law (Article 6): Everyone has the right to recognition everywhere as a person before the law. 4. Right to Fair Trial (Article 10): Everyone is entitled in full equality to a fair and public hearing by an independent and impartial tribunal. 5. Freedom of Thought, Conscience, and Religion (Article 18): Everyone has the right to freedom of thought, conscience, and religion; this right includes freedom to change their religion or belief. 6. Freedom of Opinion and Expression (Article 19): Everyone has the right to freedom of opinion and expression; this right includes freedom to hold opinions without interference and to seek, receive, and impart information and ideas through any media. 7. Right to Peaceful Assembly and Association (Article 20): Everyone has the right to freedom of peaceful assembly and association. 8. Right to Participate in Government (Article 21): Everyone has the right to take part in the government of their country, directly or through freely chosen representatives. 9. Right to Work and to Just Conditions of Employment (Article 23): Everyone has the right to work, to free choice of employment, to just and favorable conditions of work. 10. Right to Education (Article 26): Everyone has the right to education. Education shall be free, at least in the elementary and fundamental stages. These rights are designed to protect our humanity and ensure that we can live freely and with dignity. It’s important to be aware of these rights and to support and respect them for ourselves and others. For more information, you can visit the following trusted websites where these rights are documented: • United Nations (UN) in Russian: Всеобщая декларация прав человека - www.unesco.org/ru • Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) in Russian: Всеобщая декларация прав человека - • UNESCO in Russian: Право на образование - www.unesco.org/ru • Council of Europe - Education: Education • Human Rights Watch - Education: Образование и права человека • Amnesty International - Human Rights Education: Право на образование I hope this reminder serves as a reaffirmation of the values we all share as human beings. A slight correction, if I may: The word you needed is "alluded", not "eluded". Elude has a number of meanings: If something that you want eludes you, you do not succeed in achieving it (for example: the gold medal continues to elude her); to not be caught by someone (for example: to elude capture); If a piece of information eludes you, you cannot remember it (for example: I know who you mean but her name eludes me). Allude, on the other hand, means: to mention someone or something without talking about him, her, or it directly (for example: she mentioned some trouble that she'd had at home and I guessed she was alluding to her son); to mention someone or something in a brief or indirect way (for example: he alluded to problems with the new computers). Hope this helps. 🙂

I took a Russian History course at Santa Monica Community College. There is a large Russian and former Soviet Republic population in that area. At least 30-40% of the students in that class were older and had grown up in the USSR. It was fascinating to see with my own eyes that these people were learning parts their own history for the first time! The questions and comments they made, the looks on their faces as the things they learned in our class either directly contradicted things they were taught in Soviet schools, or were left out completely from their lessons. My takeaway from this was just how long the misinformation and obfuscation has been going on. And from what the professor said, this wasn’t just an outlier group of older students curious about history. Every time he taught this course there was a significant portion of the class who were former Soviet citizens, there for the same reason, to learn their own history from a source less biased than their old textbooks. It was an amazing experience. The professor was American, but spoke fluent Russian and also taught seasonally at a private college somewhere in Russia.

How anyone can honestly live in these issues and not stand up and ask what is going on is crazy. I know that there are many patriots of Mother Russia who love their country but they need to stand up say enough is enough!

Your joke Konstantin is an update of an old Stalin joke Stalin is given a visitor's tour of hell by Satan. He is delighted to be entertained in high class restaurants, beautiful food served by highly attractive waitresses. Later Stalin dies and goes to hell. Tormented in the flames he sees Satan in the distance and cries out "Hey, Mr. Satan. How come when I came here it was all so comfortable and delightful?!" "Ah, Mr. Stalin! YOu came here on a tourist visa!"

I watch your videos about what is happening in Russia with the disconnect as these are people, I don’t know anything about. So the stories and facts you present a new and distant to me But I can see for you. This is as painful as it can possibly be to watch the country that you love fall apart. Living in Scotland as I do our current ruling party is falling to pieces. I feel angry and betrayed by people who failed to do the job they pledged they would do. But how I feel can’t possibly come near to what you’re going through. I struggle to get my head around what you were telling me about the events happening in Russia today. I like to think that I am a well-informed person and I have made an attempt to try and understand the Russian Kranium confrontation. But I know most of my fellow Scots haven’t made much effort to find out what is going on in the world. As they say, if you think education is expensive, try ignorance We are about to go through a general election for the whole of the UK where it looks highly likely that we will replace the Conservative government with the Labor Party government. Most of my friends are not looking forward to it as they’re very disappointed with politicians of whatever party They simply failed to understand that they’re able to change their government that we can have a change of personnel it distresses me how little value they put on this amazing ability for freedom, taking for granted so if your live streams, do nothing else, I can tell my friends look at life, without freedom or choice, and what that life looks like. The myth that all you need is a strong leader and everything will be okay. It’s consigned to the dustbin of history. Thank you so much for your videos and the light you shine upon the dark and tragic subject.

If you look at photos of cities in Russia on Google you will be amazed at the their beauty and how modern they are. Russia is no longer the dismal place of Stalin's era. How Putin could not foresee what his actions have caused on his country is quite extraordinary. The best outcome now is that the dreadful, quite unnecessary war, ends. Perhaps many of the Russian populace are still not well educated and know know better. I don't know how poor the lower classes are nowadays - they used to be peasants in Stalin's time.

A society without a moral compas. Russia never had a showdown with it's own past under Communism. Millions of people where killers and others prisoners. Never one had to go to jail to repent, as in Germany where they had a showdown and is tought in school about there grimm past. I know a family in Krasnojarsk. They came under the great terror. They do not even know where they come from originally, as it was forbidden to talk about that in the Gulag-camps. Even peoples history, not only dignity, moral and pride has been stolen from them.

Generally, not a great opinion of totalitarian societies nor religion. But, that particular clip, it screams "out of context." Honestly, it sounds like he was shocking the wife into realizing she couldn't kill her husband and that the only alternative was to endure. It's kind of a priestly thing to do... the whole "cut the kid in half if you can't decide who the real parent is" thing, right? Not exactly an intelligent story to share on camera though. Clips like that... they start slipping into click-bait propaganda. In general, many priests say enough monumentally stupid things that I don't think there's any need to take them out of context.

Casualties are not deaths but rather all losses. That includes missing, captured, wounded enough to be pulled from combat for a period of time, or dead. An estimate of 450,000 casualties is not saying there are 450,000 dead Russian soldiers. Same goes for the Ukrainian side; same goes for all wars. Some say the Russians are recruiting around 1,000 per day on average, post the main mobilization drive of 300,000. Add in returning soldiers that have recovered from wounds and with exchanged POWs, and the numbers roughly add up.

Konstantin - about the cars - a friend of mine recently bought a Ural motorcycle with sidecar. The friend told me it's important to buy only model year 2007 or later, and that's because production of the bike was largely done in Taiwan with better labor and better components. Only the frame of the motorcycle and its fenders are made in Russia. The friend told me to avoid all earlier models since they're pure junk. I took it for a test spin. Late 1930s design, 4 speed air cooled boxer twin. My car gets better mileage than that thing.
