Problems with failed, single or small litter part 1

Just had a Singleton 11/27/23 . Took about 30 minutes to wake her up as she was more dead than alive when i got her out . She is stronger and more active than all 4 in the previous litter at 4 days old

My dog was big then got small, so we thought maybe a phantom pregnancy. So, took to the vet close to the due date and she had one puppy. I think she absorbed some of them. Her labor was for three days and nobody was available for a c-section as no surgeons were available during the weekend. Had the c-section on Monday. The pup we got is a coco lilac with tan points so he is well worth it. So, yes a singleton.

I bred at a pg of .15 second breeding same female was at .24 both times I got 3 puppies and both tcis

❓ Question ❓ would you consider a female who was still bred on time with quality stud and done everything correct timing that way but go through a false pregnancy under the absorption , health, or just freak occurrence category?

My female is currently pregnant with her second singleton litter.. I'm not sure if I should even breed her again?? Is this normal for anybody? First time breeding the pup was a waterbaby and did not survive. Just came from vet and was totally disappointed to see yet again another singleton. Each time bred with a different stud. AI first time and surgical second. Any advice?

Same situation for me too. Same father.. Same mum. First litter - 2 puppies on scan.. one died before birth .. second litter two puppies but one was being reabsorbed.. Is this a fault with the mum. Mating was natural.

Question❓❓❓I have a male puppy 9 weeks old. Mom is blue with tan points, sire is a Merle with tan points. My pup has tan paws, tan rear, tan cheeks, but no tan points above eyes. Is he considered blue with tan points or just blue and tan??? Thank you.

Hello! My Bitch has the issue where she retains her period blood inside her. My vet sucks it out before breeding but she still isn’t taking. A fellow breeder recommended that after we suck the blood out to flush her uterus with Sterile water and Gentamicin Sulfur. We’ve done cultures and found she has ecoli and we treat it but she still doesn’t take! Do you recommend the flush ? & Baytril?

I believe it's hereditary through the female on litter size. There are the other things he mentions too. I also believe I good food and vitamins.

Hi! I am based in the uk and have a question my female bully had her PG test day 7 and was 66NM the vet's said she is more then ready. We did AI on day 8 and now has come day 28 and did a scan for confirmation and got told they couldn't see anything on the scan. Now i have to wait for next season to try again what could have possibly gone wrong??

I’m not 100% sure but it sounds like the AI was too late. You want to AI on a 45NM.
