Man I love that impulse! I can’t make my mind up if I want to get the impulse or the sonic wake 36. The impulse seems to handle better and run flatter

The self righting sonic wake looks unstable at higher speeds. Love the Impulse but it needs some water management out of the box.

@@remotejeremy I’ve watched several fixes for the water issue. It’s where the stuffing tube come through the hull. Stand it up on the transom and put some epoxy around the stuffing tube, fixes the issue. You think the impulse is a better high speed boat? I like making high speed runs.

@@jaycevessier7554 Nice! Thank you. I will give that a try tonight. I think the impulse stays upright at higher speeds whereas the sonic wake flips all over the place more often. Having not tried the sonic wake it’s hard to say for sure. But when they do flip at top speed they can be dangerous if people are around, especially if they’re doing 70…

Hey man just bought this boat, fresh out the box I took it down to the water this evening and the boat bounces and hops at low and high speeds, did you have this issue? Pretty bummed a $550.00 boat just bounces and hops even with batteries pushes forward

Mine was good. I think what you’re describing is porpoising and solved by strut angle adjustment. Check that strut is parallel with the hull. Good starting point. Half a degree makes a pretty big difference. Up angle raises bow and down lowers it. You can check it with a long straight edge - hold it along the hull and strut. Pretty close to zero is where you wanna be with slight up angle to get the bow up 1° is slight.

Bro can you tell me if the brake away rudder bolt Impulse is same messures as Veles29

Ya they’re same. I got some plastic screws from the hardware store and just jammed them in there with no nuts and they work fine.

@@remotejeremy thanks brooo, yes that's the same thing I do with the SW ones, but the Veles29 ones are finer and I thought the Impulse ones were the same and I wanted to be sure

Nope that was out the box. I did have the battery’s pretty far forward.

Which boat do you find to be more enjoyable? The Impulse 32, or the Veles 29? I’m curious. I just dropped by the local shop in my parents town. They were selling both for less than $200 (they live in a desert), so I bought both! I’m excited to take them back with me and try them both out.

I find the Impulse 32 more enjoyable because it feels more like a boat. The cat is fun in a slot car kind of way, sticks to the water like a magnet in corners. I like the roll feel of the V-hull.
