Hey Chris, cool video once more, love the bug bot 😊 I know you said it doesn't matter, but just a quick info how the vector is converted into a float: it is simply the average, so (x+y+z)/3.

CB I'm really new, I mean really new at this awesome thing called Blender, and I have a lot of ideas but I need to ask you....let's say you have an animation that you want to put a picture, or image into...for example, you make an animation and I want to take a picture of myself, turn it into an animation and add it on to my animation. Is that possible?

2d animation? Animated 3d objects? Do you want your image to be on a flat plane that faces the camera the whole time, a flat plane that changes perspective, or do you want your image to be wrapped onto a 3d object? Will your image be a static image to which you add location/rotation/scale animation or will it be a sequence of images or video? KZbin comment section isn't the best place to exchange how-to info. I can give you a brief list of where to start if you provide more info, but for anything more i recommend you seek out some related discord servers or Reddit topics to ask for help ✌️

@@oodoodoopoopoo Wow this is awesome that you're helping define more clearly what I'm trying to do. I'm making a video with about 65 separate images of my friends and family...The background will be park like images, and I'm going to put the image of let's say 2 or 3 people into the background. I'm still learning about the software that I can use because as you know everything must be smooth and in sequence. I'll go on reddit and discord like you advised, and do you have any particular reddits or discord channels that you'd recommend. By the way I'm looking at Stable Diffusion/Dreambooth maybe DomoAI, maybe SDXL Lora's I think it's called. I wonder if I can put these images into blender...I just thought about that.

@@RobertSpiller - If I'm understanding correctly, it sounds like you are wanting to create somewhat of a slideshow of still images but with more elaborate animations of the images? Blender can do most anything, but it's not always the easiest or most effective for certain tasks. For example it has a video sequence editor (VSE) and works similar to many other video editors with layered tracks on a timeline that can be cut and arranged (and keyframed/animated). It's very limited as a standalone video editor and its real strengths are the seamless integration with your rendered 3D scenes, 2D animations such as made with grease pencil, and imported video that you have motion and/or camera tracked for merging with 3D objects. If what you are doing is more of a picture slideshow video, i recommend you use something like "DaVinci Resolve". The free version for personal use is still very feature rich. There are many built in effects and transitions that can be tweaked to your needs but you are certainly not limited to using them if you can't find a suitable one. Nearly everything can be keyframed. Look into using the "Fusion" workspace to unlock full potential. It's a bit more complicated, but just like Blender there is a vast community of people willing to share their knowledge and many KZbin tutorials on just about every aspect of the software. Even though anything beyond simple editing has a steep initial learning curve, you will probably still have an easier time than learning to do these things in Blender (assuming i have the right idea about what you are trying to do). I've learned much about Blender and DaVinci over the years and they are both very valuable tools in my arsenal for a wide range of tasks. For Blender I've found that the help channels on "Kaizen" and "Polyfjord" Discord servers both have a very knowledgeable and receptive community of people. For DaVinci Resolve, when looking for tutorial videos, you will start to notice which ones have the bigger following. Many of them have their own discord channels and they post them in their "about" section. Others you can find by inquiring and requesting access to community resources in their comments. Good luck to you on your learning adventure. ✌️

@@oodoodoopoopoo Davinci Resolve lol ok. I just came off of skillshare inquiring about stable diffusion but Davinci Resolve...ok. thanks for the mountain load of tips and it's exactly what I need. Wait...do I have to have a mixing board to work in Davinci resolve?
