Loved your way of explaining things. Really easy to understand the logic. Also liked how you put togheter everything into a customizable node group at the end! Super helpful

Hi Ryan How to make materials and animation like Zack D. Films ? His videos are not cartoonish and they are virtually realistic. Many thanks!

could you make shock diamonds that occurs in rocket engine plumes but in a transparent way that adapt and always look camera view, not in volumetric way

i used this tutorial for a bucket hat, rip my life the uv mapping had to be done mostly manually else it looked pretty horrid like really big stretching and faces turned wrong. other than my own issues, always enjoy these tutorials

Great work as usual, Just changed the noise to 4D for a random value on camo (more time to render tho)

i followed all the steps but after finishing everything with the material, an error occurred on principal BSDF's connection with the output, the EEVEE render engine renders the material with no problem but when i switch to CYCLES render engine, the material doesn't work at all.... any solutions for fixing this problem?

Tons of shader nodes are intertwined, but camo fabrics are usually not like that. The result mostly reminds me of a watermelon. Nice tut anyway, thx.

btw i'm using blender 4.0 but there is no option for hetero terrain in noise texture node, what your blender version ?

*Use Musgrave texture.* Musgrave texture no longer exists in future updates. It's been combined with Noise texture cause they're basically the same.

I'm using Blender 4.0.2 which doesn't have a type on the noise textures. However I've found that if you change the normalise option on the second noise texture for each pattern and alter the detail you can get similar. Although a bit more detailed. Pattern 1 normalise off, Pattern 2 normalise on. Pattern 3 normalise off. Then just play with the details on each noise texture till you get something you like.

Extra Tip: Connect Mapping Vector to group input, you'll have a vector socket that you can plug in to texture coordinate from the node you've created.
@RyanKingArt3 ай бұрын
Yeah that's a great idea too, so the user has control of what texture coordinate they want. 👍
