මට සිද්ද් වෙච්ච අවාසනාවන්ත සිදුවීමක්, මේක වෙන්නේ මම 9 ශ්‍රේණියේ ඉදිද්දී, අපට ගණන් paper එකක් දුන්නා. ඒක බලලා ගුරුවරයා ලකුණු දුන්නා. මේකේ එක ගාණක් තිබ්බා ඒක හදලා තිබ්බේ මුළු පන්තියෙන්ම මම විතරයි. හැබැයි එකම වරද තිබ්බේ ඒක මම හදන හැටි දාල තිබ්බේ නෑ, උත්තරය විතරයි දාල තිබ්බේ, මම ඒ ප්‍රශ්නයට ලකුණු කීයක්වත් හම්බ උනේ නෑ. ඒ වගේම ගුරුවරයා කියනවා කොහෙන්ද මන්දා උත්තරක් දාල තියෙනවා කියලා හිනා වෙවී නෝන්ඩි කලා.මෙන්න මෙතැන ඉදන් හදවතට දැනුණු ගණිතය දැනුමට පෙරළුනා.ඒක මගේ ජීවිතයේ උන අපරාධයක් ,, මේකට සම්පූර්ණයෙන්ම ගුරුවරයා වග කියන්න ඕන. මම මගේ පන්තියේ ලමයින්ට හැමවෙලේම කියන දෙයක් තමයි ඔයාට දැනෙන්නේ කොහොමද ඒ විදිහට ගැටළුව විසඳන්න කියලා.

Spot on. Thanks for the explanation. Knowing just the procedure rather than the concept behind , makes you very restricted in application. You are very likely to get “unsure of position “ if you get stuck. Being well aware of one’s concept makes you universal. During our school days, we have consciously or unconconciously inspired this valuable method of teaching by great maths teacher Mr Raja Alwis. (RIP sir)

G'day everyone! Just stumbled upon this video and I gotta say, I'm absolutely stoked with its content! The way it's presented is just spot on, and I reckon the creator has done an absolute ripper of a job. As a Sri Lankan maths teacher living in Australia, I highly recommend this video. The presenter does an excellent job of explaining maths concepts in an engaging way with real-world examples. It's a fantastic resource for anyone interested in the subject!

Totally agreed.. I also a former mathematics teacher.. even without having deeper understanding about this concepts, I also was doing this.. The biggest problem I could see there was majority of teachers are focused on how to make them get higher marks. And as the presenter explained some teachers also don’t have much understanding of concepts. I think teachers should be selected from highest qualifications and should be paid good salaries. Not easy but sustainable solution is that..

You are absolutely correct. I gave up mathematics after O/L it because of the way our teachers learnt to us. After i came back to programing i realy loved mathematics. I would like to learn mathematics from scratch. What are the ways which I need to follow I'm having the knowledge about the foundation of mathematics which we learned in O/L. Any suggestions mych appreciated
