I priced that extruded aluminum alloy from a wholesale supply company, the thinnest gauge made is $.65 per inch. The right angle connectors are $4 each and the spline material is $2.45 per foot. So without buying the 4 stretching devices you would have over $100 in the frame without any mesh. I buy 18-24 aluminum frames pre stretched with the mesh of my choice for $13.50 delivered. I can't justify spending that much for so few advantages.

Why cant you just use window screen frames? I know for professionals that would probably not work but for casual home user seems like it would be perfect. I'll find out because I'm going to try it.
