As a drummer living in Osaka Japan, I was overjoyed when I found Koide Cymbals are made less than a 20 minute walk from my house. Too bad they don't give factory tours. Loved this video!

@@bugrist Run a google maps search for 音楽スタジオ in your area. I did for Niigata prefecture and received about 20 results mostly in Niigata City. Sorry It's lonely out there... Ganbare!
I'm not a drummer. But we helped our drummer to find his cymbals and got directly at the Paiste Factory in Switzerland. I can remember the dedication of those peoples to their craftsmanship. It's beautiful to see other peoples around the world, trying their best to offer the best quality to their customers. In a day an age where everything seems to become cheap industrial goodl, it's a good thing to see. Long live to Koide.

People are starting to appreciate had made things again - Im a tailor of bespoke historical suits, I dont even have a website I cant cope wiht the word of mouth orders.
Agree with you. When I buy a instrument, I don’t care what the makers say, or how they made it. I just pay for the sound. Sound is the only way to judge the quality of an instrument. History can’t make an instrument sound better. Technology is always improving

I love watching cymbals being made. I was fortunate to have a tour of the Paiste factory in Switzerland many years ago. The small manufacturers like this one and the Turkish makers are really old school and use little automation. Very cool. The hand hammering alone - Ugh.

Very impressive, always love watching how things are made, trying to learn to play drums at 61 years old ,will enjoy the sound of a cymbal even more. Thanks for all your hard work and love that goes into your craft.
I believe that the cymbal actually creates the most sonically complex sound of any instrument with all the frequencies it creates.
