My grandmother had wooden masks from Native American culture. It's so cool to see the similarities! An ocean apart, people aren't all that different.

While not the same, I bought paper mache japanese masks in Tokyo (it was some market place right next to a huge shrine though I don't remember the name) it was high quality and costed 10,000 yen or more

First let me say WOW just amazing and awesome craftsmanship for this mask. Plus the music in the background sounded like we were back of ancient Japan craftsman. Second once he put on the mask he look like a Samurai Showdown character. The amazing dedication for this sensei. Arigatougozaimasu Sensei.

Amazing and beautiful craftmanship. It's also impressive how tidy His Workshop is. He's able to something beautiful out of a piece of Wood and although the Tree had to die for it, it's not in vain.

The tree didn't die for it. The wood could've been just a small piece of a tree from a tree farm, the rest being used somewhere else.
