Hi Flo Im not a big fan of commenting in these spaces, but your videos deserve acknowledgement. For the last month I have been following along to a paid course. It wasn't very good. So I started watching KZbin tutorials. I can see the people teaching are good at what they do but not always good at teaching. You are the first person I have watched and followed who made something that looks complex feel easy and achievable. I now feel like I can do this thanks to your non fluff simple teaching style. Thank you sooo much!!!!! I especially love that you have created an image in procreate and then animated it in procreate dreams. Such a cute whimsical image and so much fun to animate. If you have a course that follows this two part process - make an image in procreate and then animate it in dreams, with a range of different styles please tell me about it. and if you dont yet sign me up for your future course :) Thank you again

Exactly what I was thinking! Everyone dives into procreate dreams and they do not discuss how to prepare a procreate drawing so that it can become a functional animation.

You can import a Procreate art file into Dreams if you drag it over from split screen. You can click on "convert layers to tracks" and then "ungroup" and it gives you each layer as a separate track to work with!

They don’t even need to be side by side. Tap and hold on a layer in your open file, or the file from the gallery, while you open Dreams with your other hand and just drop it in.

​@@ArtwithFlo it wasn't working for me at first I'm not sure what I changed but. save your procreate file. setup your project in dreams (make sure nothing in dreams is active like "timeline edit or drawing" none of those icons should be highlighted pink). go to files. tap and hold your procreate project. with the other hand exit files and open your dreams project. drop it in the track area. tap hold the drawing track it created, click convert to layers, tap and hold the drawing track again and click ungroup. different things happen depending on where you drag it. I tried this multiple times before it worked

Thank you for easing me into the new animation software. It has similarities to some of the game development software I use, but what makes a difference are all these easy ways to manipulate shapes and colors. Definitely not quite used to all the pinching yet, I find myself zooming in and out of the individual keyframes a lot.

I am so excited! I've always wanted to be able to animate. I struggle with hand eye coordination, mental fatigue, adhd, yada yada my list is insufferably long.... This tutorial is the reason I bought Procreate Dreams today and completed it. I enjoyed the app with your narrative but in my opinion the app is a bit incomplete. For example in 12:28 you are saying ''try to be at the starting point once you reach the end'' and for me this is a problem. Especially for smooth looping animations we need some tools to match the exact coordinations betwen the starting and ending points. We also need more tweaking tools like Puppet Warp.

Hi, once the raw animation is created (frame by frame), is it possible to do the finishing and details in procreate dreams? I notice that the brushes can't be modified like in procreate. I use procreate to improve the lines and make better illustrations, but I don't know how to do it in Dreams. If Dreams does not have this capability, what is the most efficient way to export all my frames frame by frame, also I notice that if I drag and drop into Dreams, it alters the order of those frames. I appreciate any help or tutorials on how to get into a more advanced stage of animation.

i would love to know how to get the track back in the same exact spot when distorting the first leaves :) cause at the end of my animation there is a noticeable jump. i will keep experimenting!
