Procreate and ToonSquid have been fun together, which I will keep using -- a bit like going back to paper/stuff every now and then, but Dreams appears to have something like Procreate inside of it. Can't wait to see. Thanks for the video(s). Enjoy!

its literally procreate for animation. ive watched a lot of that aaron blaise stuff, and from what hes saying, as an old man using a software on an ipad, he pretty much did it frame by frame, in 12 weeks for a min and 30 second animation, which is impressive. he said he did have help with the coloring at times but from his in house animators, 2 of them. and from what he says, you can do full movies. hours. i mean we will have to see when it comes out but they even say like procreate this will be version one. something a lot of people have asked and hoped for. i for one am excited. and as a toon squid user. this... well i can see the differences of the two. but im a procreate fan boy and i hope dreams hits the mark on release.

OMG! I’ve been using procreate for so long and I’ve tried to make animations but had some trouble…but hearing this come out?! THIS WILL BE EPICCCC oh yeah I lost my Apple Pencil and it’s probably in another country…wish me luck on finding it!

They try to make it available for all iPad's. But the high end iPad's like the ipad pro's will perform better.

Ooooh your gonna do a review on this too? Om very exited for dreams, the procreate company is one of my favorite brands, love procreate hopefully I’ll love dreams too! I was wondering if you had seen dreams and if you were gonna upgrade from toonsquid too dreams for your animation of your comics? I bought toonsquid yesterday just to have something to play with until dreams comes out I’m so mad at them for anoncing it too months prior I don’t have that kind of patience haha 😂

I’ve been in the professional animation world for decades. Dreams is impressive! Can Dreams use internal SSD drives like the video editing iPad app LumaFusion does? LumaFusion is not an animation app of course - however its seamless SSD compatibility is excellent. Both your files and thin project itself can live in the external drive. So nothing touches your iPad storage limits. This goes beyond iCloud, which only stores files. In my case I have a 2TB SSD plugged into my iPad power port, with all my video clips and projects on the SSD and LumaFusion treats those medias as if they were on the IPad. Thanks!

Toonsquid is already out for iPad iOS and is only $10. Does far more than what they showcased here for Dreams. As an animator, Procreate did not showcase any features like symbols, rigging, parenting, camera layer, multiplane, vector brushes, path tool, etc. Maybe they are there and just weren’t in the presentation but a lot of those features are huge necessities and time savors when animating. Id call Procreate Dreams more of a motion graphics app than an animation app.

I work in ToonSquid and really love the app for all the features you mentioned. Especially the vector brushes. What I could make of the presentation of Procreate Dreams and other videos I have watched is that you can rig your characters as well and use symbols, which are called groups. We just have to wait and see when the app comes out. In the meantime I am doing my animations in ToonSquid.

@@StayfDraws yeah i wish they would release the full features on their website. A lot of speculation was left about at the end of their presentation, but it looked more like After Effects than Adobe Animate. Just have to wait and see.

It does have a camera layer tho. Remember when it was mentioned that you can draw outside the canvas and how one of the animations being worked on in the app showed a camera tracking?
