Using the pitch shifting feature messes with the sound and the latency of the sample. Just try the logic intern feature on the right. I forgot the name but you can adjust it by semi tones and it sounds really good.

here's a question... If you buy a midi sample pack, and you like how it sounds in a preview etc. When you go to import the midi files from the pack, they would have no instrument assigned to them.. so how would you ever get the same sounds that you hear in the preview clip to work in LOGIC (so that they sound the same?) or are you best off purchasing Wav audio files? then doing what you did here and opening in EXS24

Hey man I work in logic too & I think I can answer your question. When you get midi files you just receive the notes and structure of a melody. If you wanted the exact same vst sound you heard in a preview of the midi you’d have to own it yourself. Or yes getting the wav file in that case would make sense since you’re getting the melody with the instrument you heard.

Zombie no problem! but yeah it’s never wrong to invest in your craft, plugins can get expensive but there’s always some very good free ones as well. If you decide to buy look into the plugin to see if fits your type of production for better output. You can get a few to start with & that already can set you up with a very good variety of new sounds to work with. Hope that helps good luck!
