On today's show, we bring you a championship match between our top two Littles and a four-player, three-match stepladder among our finalists in the Bigs division.
They're bowling on the demanding Mexico City pattern, which is why we're calling this week's show "Taco Saturday." (Enchilada Saturday just didn't have the same ring to it.)
Some really thrilling shotmaking and a down-to-the-wire finish highlight this week's show, and I think you'll enjoy it.
As always, your comments are welcome, but we do insist that critiques of our bowlers be positive. Remember, the mission of PRODIGY BOWLERS TOUR is to "Celebrate Junior Bowling while we Elevate Junior Bowlers." So keep your critiques helpful, not hurtful, and all will be good. But if all you have to offer is to insult or demean our kids, your comment will be deleted, and in some extreme cases, you will be blocked from posting here again. Remember, the kids aren't the only ones who read these comments; so do their parents. So use your head. People who have nothing better to do than to insult children need to get a life...and get lost. It won't be tolerated here.

What did you mean by, “not as long as we COULD have thrown at them.” When talking about the oil pattern? Were you maybe referring to badger?
@ProdigyBowlersTour
@ProdigyBowlersTour 5 жыл бұрын
Yes. Badger is 52 or 53 ft. (I forget). I'll get you guys on that one of these days. It will be imparative for you to ROLL the ball (not heave or toss it out on to the lane). Gotta get the ball into an early roll on those extremely long oil patterns. Or you won't be able to get the ball to wiggle even an inch.

josh g - 12 pounds is light. It may not be light for YOU. But the pins weigh the same whether you throw an 8 pound ball, a 12 pound ball or a 16 pound ball. So, to the pins, 12 is fairly light.

Could you start saying what ball they are using
@ProdigyBowlersTour
@ProdigyBowlersTour 5 жыл бұрын
I've fielded this question a hundred times, and honestly, I'm kinda tired of answering it. It won't happen. There are a variety of reasons why. But let me list a few here: First, I have other things to do while the event is going on besides polling all the players to find out which balls they're carrying in their bags. I would need an assistant to do that for me. Second, while editing the show, I would need to be able to recoginize every single ball on sight when I see it being used. This is not practical for several reasons, not the least of which is the fact that these kids are not PBA pros. While some of them may be able to throw just the latest, newest balls on the market, a lot of them throw equipment that's been around for a few years. So not only would I have to be able to recognize every ball that every manufacturer is currently making, but I would have to be able to recognize every ball that every manufacturer has made in the past 5 or maybe 10 years. I don't know if there's a person on earth who is that conversant in every single brand's produce line that they could recognize every ball on sight. Thirdly, I just don't give a damn about what ball they're throwing. As a coach, while I recognize the importance of properly matching up with the condition, I'm far more concerned about HOW they're throwing it than I am with what they're throwing. I totally believe that there is FAR too much emphasis placed on what ball a player is throwing than there should be. But of course, that's what the equipment manufacturers want you to be preoccupied with -- keeping up with the Joneses. I could list several more reasons, but those are the biggies. It's just never going to happen. Even if I had an assistant to go around and ask all the players what they're carrying, I probably wouldn't recognize each and every ball on sight even if I knew the names of the balls they're carrying. I spent 35-40 hours a week editing these shows; I'm not looking to make it more complicated and more mistake-prone by adding variables like trying to correctly identifying the balls they're throwing when, frankly, I don't even care that much about it. Bottom line: When weighing the plusses and minuses, I just don't see how it would add anything that would make the show that much more compelling.

You're probably not getting more revs on the ball when you do 2 handed because you're throwing it like crap. I bowl one handed but accusing people of not putting in effort is probably just due to the fact that you're bad and insecure that people younger than you are better than you.

Gwrthod l i stream on twitch too twitch.tv/gwrthod depends on what kind of ball and sometimes it also depends on the house. Generally 12 lb balls carry less as you would expect but if the ball is strong and is drilled strong it will carry. My brother threw 12lb once in youth city and shot 728. He throws 14lb regularly but the 12lb ended up working for him that day. Btw if you want to know the ball he threw it was the Columbia 300 freeze

Plenty of tried, only to find out that (a.) getting past the qualifier is harder than it looks, and (b.) winning on PRODIGY is harder than it looks.
