Hey Kris! Bill Wright here. I learned so much from this video. I previously knew that it was possible to quantize midi tracks, and it is something that I do a lot, but I had no idea until just now that it was possible to quantize audio tracks as well - I just had never thought to try it. Right on, Sweetheart - you're the best!

Omg I didn't know you could quantize guitar that easily, I thought you could only do that with MIDI, thank you!

Thanks for the video- If quantizing a synchopated acoustic guitar (moderate/fast bpm), do you think it would still be best to stick with the polyphonic flex?

Another amazing tutorial thank you 🙌🏻💕 I’ve been having trouble trying to figure out where to put vocal effects on my tracks. Is it on the input or the master track? I’m not sure where to put the reverb compressors and melodyne plug ins. I’d love to see what you do when processing vocals 😊
@ProduceLikeaBoss5 жыл бұрын
Tayla Lemieux hey Tayla! So glad you’re enjoying the videos! You should definitely put your effects on the track , not the master. 😉 And I would put reverb on sends, or “busses” I know it’s a lot to learn at first, stick with it love, it’s gets easier 🤓💗

Is there anything that helped you develop an ear for EQing? It’s hard for me to tell what frequencies need to be adjusted. Thanks for being so helpful!
@ProduceLikeaBoss3 жыл бұрын
Hey Amy!! I totally get it, ear training EQ frequencies is a totalllly new ball game at first but it gets easier! I actually found it useful to start with presets within the EQ and make tweaks from there. You can also look up cheat sheets for EQ (there are a ton on pinterest and online) and look where general trouble/sweet spots are on acoustic guitars. One size will never fit all as each instrument is unique, however, it gives us a great starting point :)

Noticed that during editing your region starts before the cycle area yellow strip. What would you advice on setting the cycle area before recording? Do I set it slightly earlier or set it just on the bar?
@ProduceLikeaBoss4 жыл бұрын
You can set the Cycle right where you want to start recording. Logic secretly records audio during count-in, so you can click-drag the left side of the region to the left if there's something just outside of the Cycle bar :)

Hey I have a serious question so I got a guitar I got all these pedals and what not but what if I want to just play with the amps and effects on logic but what if I have it set on distortion but I want to change it to clean like while I’m playing and then can I have it go from clean to distortion withought having like a separate guitar track with for each different clean or dirty or what not?

Automation
@creepymcpeepers3 жыл бұрын
@@midnasalinas8857 uhmmm so just it has to switch at a certain point. In the grid and that is the only way ?
@ProduceLikeaBoss3 жыл бұрын
You can use automation to turn pedals on and off and even change knob settings. Hit A to show the automation screen, then select the effects you want to automate in the drop downs. You'll draw in the graph of the levels you want Logic to set for you. Have fun!
