The person that came up with Dreamcatcher's music style was company CEO Lee Ju Won. He got his start in the music business when he dropped out of college in South Korea, moved to Japan, and worked at promoting Japanese rock bands back into South Korea. When he returned to Korea, and after some financial ups and downs, he founded Happyface Entertainment which later spun off Dreamcatcher Company. He always loved rock music and I think he always had a dream of combining traditional Kpop with Japanese style rock music. Five of the Dreamcatcher members debuted in a group called Minx which was typical 2014 Kpop. It didn't work out so he just decided to go for it, added two new members, Handong and Gahyeon, brought in a new rock oriented production team and Dreamcatcher was born on Friday the 13th, 2017.

"Bon Voyage" is the 3rd and final part of the Apocalypse trilogy, which is about the destruction of the environment by humanity. The members have mentioned that it is about giving nature a break. Any encounter between human beings always has separation attached to it as well, just as death is a part of life. SuA also said that the fluffy floating thing that Dami summons from her painting is a cell, representing nature. It has been named "Celly" and is adorable, right? My dark mind believes that they are saying "Have a good trip" to humanity, since we are well on our way of wiping ourselves out. It's like a breakup between humanity and the earth. Once humanity is gone, nature gets the break it needs and the circle will begin again. For me, the key to understanding the lyrics is that they are singing as human beings, not as a single person. And they are singing to nature, confessing their love and the realization that we are not good for nature and that it probably resents us. It could also be the other way round (them singing as mother nature to humanity). SuA jumping out after the dove seem to represent their desire for peace. The story of the MV seems to be that the rest of humanity has sheltered away under force fields after the apocalypse. This gives nature time to heal. Musically I can already say this is one of their best songs for me. The chorus slaps hard, and the variations between heavy and slow are just beautiful. It has emotion and impact at the same time. Putting JiU's sweet voice together with an acoustic guitar is simply genius. We lost Leez as a producer, but the team around Ollounder did a fantastic job! And as a bass player, I can say the slap bass is crazy! I probably won't have to tell anyone that the visuals here are out of this world. I'm going to say it anyways: The members have never looked more beautiful, and the whole team all deserve a raise!

​@@valenandtheo Their sound have evolve since year 1...from anime-ish sound to 'Dreamcatcher Sound', Deja Vu track a transition ro Dreamcatcher EDM Rock style in Dystopia Trilogy, BEcause a throwback track to their Dark & Horror concept & transition to Apocalypse Trilogy with Experimental Rock sound, 'Bonvoyage' as a final part of Apocalypse Trilogy & first mini album after they renew their contract. The B-sides of the album kinda focus more on rich instrumental which is shown more in their next album 'VillainS' aka 'Versus Villains' with OOTD as the A track. My favorite B-track of their latest mini album is Rising, Shatter & We Are Young...you can check it out...:P

a dreamcatcher song can literally have up to 5 different genres in one perfectly harmonized song..... can be different rock genres or like mixes rock, grunge, EDM, moombahton, pop, and more..

Much like with Ateez, new Dreamcatcher title tracks tend to skirt this edge of both being something new and different while also being very familiar to the group's style and there's good reason for that: they actually share music producers. Nearly Dreamcatcher's entire discography was made by Leez and Ollounder, two of the producing team from the Edenary production team that produces Ateez's music. This was Dreamcatcher's first title track and album without Leez (he got an exclusive offer to create for another group I believe), so Ollounder brought in Oliv, Peperoni, Buddy, Maddox, and Door to work on this album, all people who have been heavily involved in Ateez's music as well (most of them have also worked on several Dreamcatcher songs in the past). The J-rock/anime stylings of their music could very possibly be traced back to the CEO of Dreamcatcher Company: he got his start in the music business by importing J-rock CDs and booking concerts/shows for Korean audiences as he was a huge fan of the music.

Anime-esque sounds were pretty much the description for Dreamcatcher songs since way back in 2017, when they debuted with their song Chase Me. Please check out that song - by the way, it's their debut from the Nightmare storyline. Most would recommend their Dystopia or Apocalypse-era songs - which you already did react to - but they were first known for doing full-blown anime-esque rock/metal songs in their Nightmare album series. I appreciate you guys quietening the music when you talk during the MV; I am going to suggest, however, that the difference between the mv volume be lower so that the volume, when dropped, isn't as much of whiplash as it can make it hard to hear what you say if the mv is loud. I have to turn the video volume down when MV starts, and then you guys are too quiet!
