Fun fact: Early Proto Malay people didn’t talk like how us modern people talk. Back in the days everything was in narrative poetic system. How we write the laws or documenting anything and even talk, everything must be in rhythmic structure. I know it does sound weird living our daily lives speaking with rhyming quatrains, but that is how it is back in the day. A year before Impikan they released their debut called "Dolla Make You Wanna" which is also 90% in Malay with a touch of English. It was on its way to becoming a hit with planned live performances but it debuted on March 19th 2020, which was a little over a week before the global shutdown!
