It's not for beginners, but this is by far the most valuable channel for improving recording and mixing skills. Many of us could not afford schooling that would be this informative, and you bring it to us every week. Thanks so much to Dave and Herb for this gift to us.

Didn´t get the job, and yet he advised his peer who actually got it… Remarkable, and a sign of the kind of professional we all deeply celebrate. Kudos!

I've been a Pensado's place follower for a long time, but I feel always it needs something extra and I decided today to give my comment for Pensado family. every time Dave talk about a certain type of music I always imagine in my mind or wish if you could play the song in background it will make the discussion so effective. Thank you

The conversations on Pensado's Place always feel organic, but it would be pretty cool if they actually segmented a portion of the interview like "ITL" to really discuss the track in-depth. It'll allow viewers to get a better understanding of the guest's process & state of mind. Way better than pausing the interview and looking it up on KZbin! I love this show man. One day I'll be sitting on that barstool discussing music with Dave & Herb.

I'm sure they would love to do this, and they're great ideas, but I think there would be issues with licensing at this point seeing that they're a sponsored show....they could definitely switch add some segments though.

Chris M Exactly. That's why you'll often hear Dave say "listen to this song after the show" or "press pause and go listen to this song." 20 or so seconds is all they're allowed to play, I believe. More importantly, I hope upcoming artists begin to realize ITL is a GREAT promotion medium. I can't count how many times I've seen comments asking the artist and song title on mixing videos.

thats a good idea man!
@ConnorTostevin110 жыл бұрын
Chris M good point, but most of the guys on the show will be talking about tracks they produced, shouldn't be too many problems just putting a little clip of the song at least, just to let people no what track there talking about.

Best ITL in a long time, love it! That kick is so ridiculously fat I can't even imagine what it would feel like an octave lower... that's why you're one of the best Dave. I think that everyone watching these should be watching them in their studios though to actually have an idea of what is going on. Instead of trying to cater to showing mixing tricks on smartphones you should treat the ITLs as if we were going to be listening in a studio. We don't live in a perfect world where people do that so I can understand why not but we can dream right?

I dont like Benson's anything. That Uber pinned frequency crank thing is awful. For that pro-rock thing he's all wrong. Fairburn , Olsen, or Werman own that category. I will say there is a fairly unknown record by a band called King of the Hill he did which I think is great. Who knows, he probably had the same method back then but this one sounds more like a band. His other stuff all sounds like the same backing band with different singers.
