That other girl is Mina! She's a lead rapper in IOI, she's there along with Sejeong too! I really hope you listen their acapella ver too, they are giving a magical touch and sounds so different. Anyway yes, I love The Boots much more than Wonderland, A Girl Like Me and Chococo. A Girl Like Me is quite too hard for me, and yet easier to be forgotten... Wonderland is out off my preference... Though I love them so much. Chococo is my most fave before The Boots because it goes 100% weird, but catchy and not that hard as AGLM. And this comes, their music is dark and softer with that whistle, giving so much original vibes. And they do it right with lalala like this, and that dance break, maaaaaannnn finally Jellyfish give a song that could show the main dancers skills. My most beloved thing in this MV is their visuals and that jazzy part, so damn HQ...

I love this song to pieces, it’s sassy and fancy and I LIVE for it. This is the kind of video I would expect from Jellyfish. There is only one problem that I have with the song, and that’s the line distribution is HORRIFIC. God Sejeong is my bias but the line distribution was an absolute mess for this one

I read somewhere before that their MV concepts are based on movies. Wonderland (Alice In Wonderland), A Girl Like Me (Not sure), Chocococo (Willy Wonka and The Chocolate Factory) and The Boots (Puss In Boots). I have not heard any confirmation from their agency or themselves butbitbfits, sorta.

They are based on fairytales. Wonderland is based on the Little Mermaid, A girl like me on Narcissus, Chococo on Willy Wonka and The chocolate factory and The boots indeed on Puss in boots.

I'm so happy that these girls are starting to get the recognition they deserve. I honestly was not a big fan of their debut song, but I'm glad I stuck around cause A Girl Like Me was so good! And they just keep coming back with great songs I love them!

"Their whole concept is to drastically change concepts each comeback." They're from the same entertainment company as VIXX, fam. This should not come as a shock. XD Personally, I think it's really refreshing that they don't feel tied to one certain image or aesthetic for their work. Even if I wasn't a big fan of every single one of their MVs thus far myself, I can at least appreciate that they keep trying new things. It really helps them stand out against other girl groups on the market right now.

I've been waiting for this for a while now. I'm very proud of Gu9udan with this comeback (as I've been with the other comebacks). They work very hard but get so little recognition it's quite disappointing tbh. Personally I was very satisfied with this song when I first listened to it, seriously, it's one of the best songs of 2018 already (in my opinion). The girl (she was blowing the bubblegum) is Kang Mina!! She was a member of I.O.I as well and she was very underrated while I.O.I was still promoting. She's adorable and I love her a lot. Anyways, please love Gu9udan!! The girls are sweethearts and have so much talent it's sad not seeing a lot of people talking about them.

I loved A Girl Like Me. But without a doubt Boots is the best song from Gugudan. It's one of my favorite girl group songs so far this year. I'm listening to Boots and Red Velvet's Bad Boy the most from my playlist. So Boots might just be my favorite song of the year so far and I'm a non Gugudan fan.

Also I really agree with you there....When I first watched Chococo, I can't help but feel weird because of the concept and all that stuff going on in the MV....I mean the song is kind of catchy, but yeah weird. In their first three MVs, my fav is actually 'A Girl Like Me', because of the sexy and confident feel of the song. But then, 'The Boots' came along, and I was like 'Wow, now that's what I'm talking about'. It's very rare for me to love a KPop song instantly at first watch, and this comeback did. So, it's big thumbs to our girls for another (more) job well done.

Yo PD I totally agree with the rap. The whole Mina and Sally verse I guess was like way below average rapping when I know they can do better bc it could have been really cool at that part or happen right before the dance break to the same beat and then have the break down. it's not so much that they're going for a totally diff concept everytime. actually they've established a 'theater concept' so each new album is inspired by a different movie. so first 'Wonderland' was inspired by Little Mermaid, i don't remember what A Girl Like Me was based on, Chococo was Charlie and Choc Factory (Willy wonka) and now this is Puss and Boats like you said
