I’m absolutely blown away by this. It’s everything I could have hoped for and, uh…more from a first* solo release. So unexpected and a major statement of his artistic vision. I’d like to think that regardless of someone’s opinion of BTS or J-hope, whether you’re ARMY, a casual fan or even an anti, you’ve got give him mad respect for taking such a bold, risky move in giving us something that’s such a 180 from anything either he or BTS has done before. *ETA: First OFFICIAL solo release. They’ve all released solo works in one form or other-mixtapes, OSTs, collabs-but this is the first post-announcement that they would be focusing on official solo projects.

This is his second solo release actually. The first was called 'Hope World' released 2018 with 2 music videos which were 'Daydream' and 'Airplane'. The album is a free download too - you should just be able to go in the decriptions of the MVs to find the link. I highly recommend it. His first release had a very 90's hip-hop feel.

He is the bravest to experiment and be adventurous with his sounds. He has always been good at blending genres. That is why he is that good in his craft. He keeps studying and respecting cultures or genre. His flow in this song cements his skill as a very versatile rapper and artist. j-hope is the most dynamic and diverse with his music. Add the fact he has good vocals that he could manipulate to fit any songs. Flexibility and distinct flavour. All him! His artistry is mind blowing! This is just the first song of the album and not even the title track!

Feel better Blake! I have had back pain before and it is awful. Hope you are on the mend. Yes. J-hope has always been my bias. The man is so talented, creative and hardworking. I know in the recent BTS songs he appears to be only happy. But I think through some of their older work and his interviews we all knew he has a dark side. So happy he shared it with us. I expected Jhope to step out of the box and do something completely different and definitely knew he'd choose a darker concept but...OMG...I did not expect the rock element at all. I was blown away. I love it. I can't wait to see what's on his album. Get better soon, by the way !!!! Back injuries are the worst. Make sure you rest and take care of it fully. I ignored my back and neck problems for so long that now I have chronic back and neck pain even though I fixed the problem. So don't overdo it. :)

Yes, Blake, this is his album's concept actually, I strongly suggest you read the explanation on Twitter, the details are so cool !! His album name is "Jack in the Box" and More is b-side !! The title track and the album will be dropped on July 15 !! He said his tracks will be in order and telling a storyline so we think even this banger, is like a warm up? Man, I'm so excited. He is actually bringing back the 80s/90s gangster punk grunge rock style back even though it’s risky and I haven’t heard this type of style in a while also this isn’t even his title song his title song and album is coming at July 15th. (Also his “screams” etc is pretty muted because it feels like he is trapped in a box) And this is a style some people like some people don’t but you have to say jhope killed it in this genre

I'm so proud of Hobi and didn't expect this at all. I'm loving the beat of this song and I love the drums and guitars and this side of our sunshine is wrecking me badly. This is a different side of hobi I thought I'd never see also I love the MV aswell and I love how his voice sounds as well as how rocky this sounds and I'm also loving this néw look on him aswell and I love how he raps. Hybrid Theory was the first cd I ever bought with my own money too! Linkin Park we’re the first group to get me into rock since it mixed my love of hip hop and something new. J-hope brought me right back to that nu metal era of the late 90s-early 2000s. And hope you feel better!

The only other huge reaction like this among reactors was the dance break in On. I watched almost every reaction to watch people flip out. This is even bigger and I'm trying to watch them all.
