Alligator felt different from all of Monsta X’s previous music video. It is probably my favorite Monsta X music video. Also idk if you’ll be doing a listening party for the album but when you hear Stealer it will blow your mind. It’s my new favorite Monsta X song.

Stealer was made during Shoot out. Apparently this song almost being main track on Are You There album. So, it's not really surprised that this song was so dope. 😊

If just looking at the MVs, it’s different and more intense but they have a lot of similar imagery. Minhyuk with flowers since All In, Hyungwon with thrones lookin like royalty, Wonho with looking like he’s in eternal suffering in a room.

Yeah, I agree with this being "stronger" than Shootout. They really built the entire MV in the manner of an Alligator. They stalk their prey, they're quiet killers, the violence happens once they have you. Ever seen an Alligator under the surface of the water? It's calm and serene, it's what happens once they latch on and pull you under with them. I love the secondary part of the chorus where it says "I'm pulled into your swamp, you're pulled back into my swamp, just like I wanted" Just like you wanted eh? It's a power struggle thing but at the same time, they're sorta saying they win, and I love that.

Yes - The reality of an alligator drowning its prey, then stashing it to rot for ease of eating later, is creepier than the trope of furiously snapping jaws. Agree the mv is true to that. Would have been nice if they had a real alligator. That looked like maybe a caiman.

I was really nervous to post this since so many are freaking out over this comeback. I love MX, I support them, but Are You There had an incredible variety that We Are Here is lacking. I’m all for an album full of bangers, but a banger doesn’t necessarily have to be all hard-hitting EDM tracks. Underwater and Myself were my fave tracks from Are you there (and I’m honestly more into hard-hitting EDM tracks) since they were surprising and different and unique and beautiful. So yeah, the new tracks on the full album don’t feel very different from one another. If they do a US tour I AM TOTALLY GOING. I would have been happy to wait longer for a comeback in order to get a wider variety of more interesting tracks. You can’t rush quality!

@@SpookyDarling Omg I felt EXACTLY the same way about Underwater and MySelf, these 2 and Shoot Out were my favorite... So much quality... Same for the album, it's noisy and there's a lack of variety, almost all seem party songs, contradicting the concept of the teasers and intro... I feel it was rushed, too, i think we don't like it cause the members didn't have much say in this album, there's only No Reason by Wonho and that's it. (the rap parts weren't cool either). I feel so guilty though tbh...

I usually don't listen to these types of reviews; however, I enjoyed your commentary and how you explained each segment. Dramarama video was what made me a new fan of Monsta X. Their music is the best to dance to. I'm a much older fan and their music reminds me of what I used to jam and dance to at the clubs and house parties. Now I'll be dancing as exercise and cleaning the house😊😀😊😍

I knew PD would love that water scene. Monsta X snapped and claimed 2019 as their year! I think one of my favorite things about the MV visually is how in the beginning they’re dancing on a set that looks like a swamp but they’re still on land. However, at the end of the video they’re dancing in water and it’s during that killing part that the viewer has officially been pulled into Monsta X’s swamp.

i think it's so easy to be fooled by this song when you compare it to Shoot Out, because Alligator opens with vocals and builds to an intense chorus, whereas Shoot Out opens with Jooheon and Changkyun busting down the door with their rap and then, like, mellows? i guess? into a slightly softer but no less intense chorus. both really excellent title tracks and, in my opinion, really complimentary to each other.

I just love this comeback. There is so many throwbacks to past music videos and concepts I am pretty sure I still haven't caught all of them and at the same time it works as a standalone thing. The outfits, the sets, that background hype growing in the song and cultimating in last 30 seconds with you not even noticing so it has even bigger impact with that marvelous editing. I am not saying it is the best most catchy song they ever produced, but it is definitely their best effort since 2015. PROUD MOMMA HERE!
