The guy playing bass is Dan her producer! I'm sure he's not used to playing on stage but wanted to be there for Olivia's performance, or Olivia really wanted him there! Throughout the whole performance you can see him smiling because of how proud he is of her.

Well he was the lead guitarist and singer for the indie rock band As Tall As Lions. He did it for 9 years and you can look up the videos of him performing live. I just feel like maybe he didn't wanna take away from Olivia's moment considering she's new? Who knows.

It's her producer Dan Nigro, who was in a band himself. He was smiling like crazy because he is so proud. She had only actually performed live once at the BRIT awards, then the 2 songs on SNL. Her parents, along with her agents and many of her team were in the audience.

Yay, I totally agree! There was also a huge live rock scene in the '90s, when I was a teenager and we all formed bands, too. She's bringing guitars back to the mainstream, and I'm here for it. I don't think I've been this excited since Nirvana's 'Nevermind' came out and topped the pop charts! :D

Great reaction! I agree with you about the need for some kick drums in that breakdown section, especially since it transitions into another even more wide open space with no drums. Some kicks drums would've helped build it up to that point. Also, her natural voice is so great live, like you pointed out there isn't anything used to mask it, but I would've liked some double track or background vocals during the chorus. I think it loses it's punch with just her own solo live voice doing it.
