What appeals to me, if the song has a beautiful melody, is a singer's vocal tone and phrasing, her artistic use or mix of her full and head voice or falsetto and knowing the extent and limits of her vocal range.

charice was a teenage filipina who seem to me to be more than a sensation but a phenomena . more than a decade ago she created a stir in thr major entertainment capitals in the US , canada , japan , korea and europe . although she mingled and rubbed elbows with the whos who in the music business and showbiz i understand was even invited to perform in the white house , the euphoria surrounding her was rather brief fue to personal circumstances . she and another special talent leah salongga who likewise started as a child performer , these two among others are like gems coming from the philippine music industry . the stature and recognition they attained to my assesment would be very tough to duplicate or to parallel in so many aspects . great job featuring this on your reaction channel guys your finely shaped and well kept facial hairs are nonetheless piercing to the eyes too , imposing like making a statenent .

There are many singers ahead of Charice but it was Charice who inspired other younger Filipino singers to give honor to the Philippines. 🍿💌Charice is a gem. Her Star King performance in South Korea will always be her best performance for me when she totally impressed the Super Junior contestants as well as the judges. She was very young then but already a total performer. Too bad there isn't any clear video of it anymore. Most are reuploads with pixelated video although the audio is still good.

About the clarity where you did the "jjjjjssshhhhhhd…"-David Foster said "Charice is like a laser beam≥" Of course at the time, Charice (Jake) was more know for belting and much of being on point was missed. It is just in the more recent "reaction video" explosion years that Charice's vocal clarity, depth, emotion, range and dynamics are being appreciated. It's never too late, it's said, for listeners to learn and have the same appreciation as from those who know music like you guys. As for another suggestion, and speaking of how the body explodes with music, I suggest a throwback vidoe and look up Charice in Bangkok in her encore performance of "Halo" esp. since you have both reacted to 2 videos with live band and an an orchestra-Bangkok was singing to a backtrack. (Still worth the watch, though.) As this event is a while back, it might not be easy to look for (zero in on jessica86s or pingchp fancam uploads). Cheers and thanks for this *interrupted* share.

Her story is one that tears me up, because of what she, Charice, must have been dealing with her whole life. I will forever be grateful that we have a record of some of her best stuff.
