I picked up a Maschine Mk2 second-hand for very little money. It is quite astonishing what you can do with it combined with the software for so little money. Shouldn't these be way more popular? Thank you for making content that still helps me 8 years later.

I just bought a MK1 on the back of this video (and another by Shadowick) for £50 (DELIVERED - to the UK - eBay!!). It's amazing how cheap these units are going for in (early) 2021.

I think there are not enough tutorials which go step by step in a simple way without to much talk and sidetracking . I like the Maschine but I’m still not sold on it.

This is a great video. yep. I like the beats produced... very professional. The detail is a pain in the ass, but for production it's necessary. I feel a strange sense of sadness that house music has lost so much of it's bollok-ness since the 90s though. It's the kind of music that you can put on while you're cruising down the highways of california. It's all respectable nowadays. It used to be the kind of music that you would worship till the sunrise. Still, I'd definitely buy this course, if I could afford a new Maschine :)

I think he swing on the group you apply at 5:00 doesn't have any effect because you're in 8th cycle whereas the note you recorded is in 16th

Sorry, and good point, nothing specifically calls out that Rough Rider kit... I have DNB Skyline, House Arrest, and Prima Tech House packs, and that kit is not in any of those 3... Niche DO have great loops/samples, though...
