Side chain creates a pumping feel suggesting more volume. That's psychoacoustic and works great like Boris said on shaker, pad, bass, hihat. One comment for the master he said before he doesn't use compressors but sidechain is compression.

Filter MG hard to explain??? Well there was even a tooltip! It is the amount of the modulation envelope effecting the filter cutoff. How in earth can he make such good tracks without knowing basic stuff?

I use FL Studio's Gross Beat for sidechaining :-) you can easily manipulate the shape of the sidechain too :-)

the auto sidechain is it a custom preset? Its not part of the factory saturn.

Ganz genau Boris, Compression macht manchmal mehr kaputt als das es hilft, EQ´s sind auch für mich das wichtigste in der produktion , soundshaping ist das zauberwort.

Boris Brejcha is for me the best producer !! And golden tip for producers : Produce in mono mode and after you finish with the tape, return to normal. you will hear difference. if it is good in mono then it is even better in stereo ;)

Ich stimme Dir zu, das es auf jeden Fall sinn macht, EQ Einstellungen nur in dem Context zu machen, zumindest im musikalischen Kontext, jedoch macht es meiner Meinung nach auch großen Sinn in Einzelspuren und speziell in Gruppen solo abzuhören, um Frequenzen rauszuholen, die einfach nur zumüllen, natürlich muss man dann gegenchecken ob es das Gesamtbild negativ beeinflusst. Hängt auch immer davon ab wie man abhören kann. Wenn man nicht die Möglichkeit hat in einem optimierten Raum abzuhören, dann bleibt einem nur der Kopfhörer und dann wird es teilweise schwierig , die richtigen Entscheidungen zu treffen, ohne die reale Rauminformation zu haben. Auf jeden Fall cool, das Du Einblicke in deine Kunst gibst. Omnisphere ist auf jeden Fall ein musthave.
