The AH is a fantastic platform. My AHBC comes with me through Ontario provincial parks (Algonquin, Temagami, and others) for multi-day (2-5 day) trips, year-round. Thanks for the incredible work.

Having used the bag for a bit I think a 4 way stretch would be nice on the water bottle pockets. Keeping the shock cord could help but that 4 way would keep the water in a lot better. With load in the bag the pockets sort of like to pop the bottles out

We stay away from the stretchy fabric for the most part due to longevity and durability. It's particularly bad on wand pockets.

Retired LEO and long time customer. I want to use this for travel and dock the attache on it. I am guessing I can use the top and bottom G hooks to accomplish that and the side compression straps to lock the attache down? Also, are the aluminum stays ok to get through TSA for flights?

Yes, I'm about to do the same. Better even, get the Aston panel and just slide the attaché in, there's a post about this on Reddit.

Great pack as usual, not sure if you check the comments I will probably email you as well. My question is can the Burt pack mount on the top or bottom?
@HillPeopleGear2 жыл бұрын
Hello Gabe. It kind of depends on how fully you have the A3 packed. Fully packed, there is enough of a "shelf" to mount the m2016 on. Between the straps on the A3 and the m2016, I'm sure you can come up with a good solution for attaching the butt pack on top. Or, simply put it under the A3 top straps for quick attachment / removal.

Kuiu Guide X glove. Haven't been using them long. Like them well enough so far. Very water resistant, warm enough for most of what takes place in the winter around here for active movement, adequate (but not great) dexterity. The dexterity is a trade off for the warmth.

@@HillPeopleGear emailed info@ with specific questions about an order, received and incoherent response that ignored the issue. Followed up with a second email, requesting nam answer - no reply. Called in-person and talked to a young man about an overcharge, was told "I will take care of it," gave him order number. No action ever taken - overcharge remained, received tracking number for a pack that never left Grand Junction. I figured order number would be the easiest way for me to get your name without you saying it. *FFS MAN!* The fkn Elk bugle introduction is 50 disables louder than the rest of this video! It's obnoxiously loud.... Christ it makes me want to purchase a Kelty or Eberlestock. I have dozens of highend packs and use them often; SERE instructor in my free time. I don't understand the logic behind the feature set with 99.9% of packs. It's as if the entirety of the industry is in agreement to purposely not innovate, and keep packs to a limited, specific features set. Objectively, this is a great pack. I'll probably purchase it, but there's a litany of aspects I would change, and the entire community desires to be changed. The innovation the industry responds with *"our proprietary, patented G lock system..."* Really? Why does every pack manufacturer compromise when it comes to innovation? My mother was a seamstress, and taught me how to tailor at a young age. I'll probably buy this pack, and change a dozen aspects the first week. I'm talking from the suspension to physical shape. I'll post my alterations on social media, everyone will espouse they have no idea as to why the manufacturers don't incorporate these design alterations, it'll receive a few thousand comments in engagement, etc. Ultimately I'll purchase another pack, from a different manufacturer, and repeat the process over again. Improving manufacturers designs had become a hobby. In 2022 we should have something better then a sock with straps and g locks. I'm not being a condescending cuck, but I suspect HPG pays someone well to design their products? So why is the community able to exceed an industry experts designs in their kitchen? Why is the current status pro *guud nuf?* Why when manufacturers attempt to innovate we receive an identical product to the 99% of the industry, but with G locks? If I desire something limited and timeless I'll purchase a Frost River. HPG is supposed to be one of the staple manufacturers in the boog boi community. They make a hell of a product, so why is it like every other manuf? How many people have ever used the side strap to carry the pack? No one, it's a filler. How many people organise, and attach internal mollee compartments, to the internal palls webbing? I'm going to patented a pack, and sell the design to HPG. I will say out of all the packs I've ripped apart and improved, HPG is by far one of the highest quality.

It sounds like you have something valuable to offer the world. You need to start a gear company and get your innovation out there. Don't know about the rest of the industry -- innovation is not a design goal for us. All we do here is make gear to solve our own problems in the most elegant fashion possible. Usually those solutions look pretty simple. We like it that way.
