@sugatnayak I think there should be more questions on objectives. Why are we building this app and any context around it? Am I correct? If we assume we just want to build a communication app for children without any clear goal. Then isn't keeping a goal like we want to increase communication between children outside the school or improving communication between students and teachers, etc narrow to the problem quickly, isn't it?

@Sugat: I am gorging on all your videos. It is endearing to give all this for the community. I have a question - this video/Prep was around 3 years ago, considering you have moved to different companies and domains, gaining more work experience, would you rate the interview experience or delivery better now? If yes, what would constitute it or dimensions of it? Like would it be better clarity of thought, quicker time to break down the problem statement, asking relevant CQ? Would love to know this from you.

Thanks for watching the videos. Absolutely this is not one of my best mock interviews. It has lot of areas of improvement but I still wanted to show since it is the reality and how we answer in interviews. Being said that when I look back I could have improved a lot whether it’s clarity of thought, time-management or even user segmentation and prioritisation.

I would have chosen an English medium school based on the following factors: -Firstly, schools offering education in Hindi medium or regional languages often receive government funding, making education more affordable in these institutions. -Secondly, English medium schools tend to have higher fees due to the popularity and perceived advantages of English language education. Many parents in India aspire for their children to attend English medium schools and are willing to pay more for it. -Thirdly, regional language schools, which rely on limited government resources, may have fewer technological advancements compared to English medium schools. English medium schools, on the other hand, generally have access to a wider range of resources. Therefore, it is more likely that English medium schools would readily accept our communication app for use by their students.

Kids can not be the main user of the app but their parents. The product should be made around parents and kids as the secondary user.

May be yes, but one of the assumptions I made was the age group (7-15) and the usage was on educational purpose. On top of that parental control becomes a major thing when we design anything for Children.

Do you think you drifted apart from the application just being generally used by Children’s to narrowing it down to a school environment so now the communication or the exchange of information would be majorly related to studies.

Yes actually true. I shouldn't have done that. Communication could have been used in many places apart from only school. That was a big mistake on my part.
