when beveling in the beginning, you should first apply the scale transformation, since your bevel profile would otherwise be distorted

It's aways a trap for me as a beginner: first I am happy to find a short tutorial, then i realize that because of the shortening important steps fall out again and again (the AI instructor forgets to narrate every step, sometimes all what i see is just a klicking on some button somewhere in the menu-jungle that happens to do something). So, most of my time is spent pushing back the KZbin slider in hope that i can catch that crucial tenth of a second. In the end, I realize that what first seemed like an easy ride is not easy and short at all. That is my learning process: Now i know for sure that i will never watch such short tutorials, unless the object is some very simple and basic stuff.

Thanks for the feedback! I can relate quite strongly with your frustration and I’ll try to be as thorough as possible in the future. I tried to edit out all the unnecessary/boring parts of the process, but I understand that sometimes those moments are crucial.

another piece of advice, instead of getting frustrated here, its much effective to find a longer and in depth tutorials and come back here, you shouldn't be harsh, this is a free contetnt at the end of the day.

You could also enable caustics for the lights so you can see it in the shadow of the glass and add roughness to the liquid

Did a similar project but ended up with 3 issues each time 1. There is a 'line' along my bottle (right where the inside part starts to bevel into the curved part) 2. I used subsurf modifier and shade smooth for the cylinder for the bottle and it looks fine in viewport shading, but when I'm in render view mode then there are clear 'sections' of the cylinder (as if it were low-poly with like 12 faces going around. 3. The bottom part of the bottle looks too thin. The real bottle has solid/ thick glass at the bottom but in the model it looks paper thin (even though there is thickness from the solidify modifier)

Great tutorial! However, for me the label gets somewhat compressed when I uv unwrap it. Does anyone know what causes this?

I don't know what shortcut that you used in the beginning to bevel the cylinder. Please using keyshorcut overlay

hey how can i select the outter surface and and hide them please replay ( i am in edit mode and selected the whole bottle in solid view and pressed L then H to hide but it hide the whole bottle ) please help
@hifzishlyrics47115 ай бұрын
Go to object mode select outer surface then press H
@-IndustrialDesign-5 ай бұрын
That should work. But make sure that you apply the solidify modifier before going into edit mode. This will allow you to select and hide just the outer layer. And then use alt H to unhide everything

I did the tutorial step-by-step but at the time I had to do the material in the outcome everything is black. Black inside, black outside. I do not have the same trasparent outcome of the video. The ironic thing is that if I use Blender 4.0 or 4.1 there is this issue. If I use Blender 3.1 no. If then I put the file did in 3.1 in 4/4.1, everything is normal. I don't understand where is the problem in 4/4.1.
