Their are a fair few companies now manufacturing gaming tables. GeekChichq & Boardgametables in the US, GeeknSon in the UK and Rathskellers in Greece are the ones I am aware of. Its great to have choice but I feel its a shame that their are no reviews comparing the similar tables they offer to each other.

I own a GeekNSon fully loaded Denis gaming table! This is seriously high quality furniture. GeekNSon are fantastic people to work with. They will do anything/everything they can to make your purchase go smoothly and that you are 100% happy with your new gaming table. I cannot recommend them enough.

For those out there wanting a cheap start to a large gaming table you can check out your local Habitat for Humanity store. I found a 5' x 6.5' solid wood table for $80. It came with two leaves that can be taken away as needed to shorten it to 5' x 3' for smaller games. I'll be sanding and restraining it at some point but currently it's in great condition and we've already had many game nights on it. Some with as many as 9 people around it (!!) with room to spare. The nice thing is that I paid so little for it and I can customize it all I want. But as a starting point it can't be beat!

@Hunszi3 жыл бұрын
Just forget it, it's way overpriced. Basically my 6 years old VW Golf 7 cost less than this table, and this is just a table.
@WuschelofDespair3 жыл бұрын
@@Hunszi I never really get the car comparison, some people don't even need a car. It comes down to what's important to you. If somebody doesn't need a car because all his places are nearby but just loves to play boardgames everyday, why does it matter, that a used car is cheaper than this table? Same goes for computers "oh you could buy a car instead of that Mac", well some people use that Macs to create stuff and make a lot of money with it, why should they buy the car instead?
@Hunszi3 жыл бұрын
@@WuschelofDespair Okay, I give you another example...where I live, for the price of this table, I bought a 150x90cm rubberwood dining table, 6 chairs, 2 big kallaxes for my games, 2 wardrobes, 1 TV stand, a sofa, and a carpet...and we even had some leftover money to go out for dinner, after we managed to furnish the whole room. You get what I'm saying? :) It not about a car or something, it's about the price of this piece of table...overpriced.
@ryanb60747 жыл бұрын
Was wondering when we'd get the tour of it ;) I heard about this table from you and saw a small overview on it done by Rahdo, and this will definitely be the table I get, including chairs, as it will make a great dining table as well. It will sadly be long, time before I can afford one though...but great preview!

You showed a tile game under the acrylic layer. How thick can pieces under the acrylic layer reasonably be? For example, would the older Catan tiles (about 2x as thick as the current print) work or would the acrylic layer be lifted too far from the base, making it difficult to place cities/roads on the edges?
@WatchItPlayed7 жыл бұрын
My sense of it is that those would work fine, because of how big the acrylic piece is. It would still stay weighed down enough for that.

Forgive this question if it's already been asked, but do you think the playing area is large enough for the larger board games that have been rolling out lately? Like, Cry Havoc and Scythe take up so much space on a table. Will those boards fit comfortably in the recessed area?
@WatchItPlayed7 жыл бұрын
+grudzielanek Yep, we've set up large games like that on this table.
